Keep getting this error ce-34878-0 Error

Hi keep getting this Re: ce-34878-0 Error when play cod or bf4 if one know why ? Is it a firmware problem or is it the ps4?

Are copies of those games the upgraded downloaded versions from PS3 versions?
Seems to be happening to many people with that.

My googling tells me some people had to delete all data,saves and data and install and start again,or reinitialize their system so start from scratch,that would be a pain.
And some even had that error so many times they ended up getting their PS4 replaced.

So not sure what else to say. Try this though,sign in with guest account and see if that works.

Anyone else help out here?

Hi I see something on Google about signing out of psn when it happens and sign back in that seems to work I contact shopto where I got my ps4 they said its a sony issue does anyone know if sony are looking Tito fixing this?

BF4 has been riddled with Glitches and Errors since the launch. It could be the game, or it could be something with the latest Firmware Update on your PS4. However, my money is it being likely the BF4 game itself. Dice & EA are currently being sued for the many problems the game has been plagued with since the launch of the title for multiple platforms. Simply for misleading investors on the outcome and completion, of the game.

People are having this issue on all games unfortunately. There is a 25 page thread on the psn forum starting in November with 2 messages only from PlayStation to say they are investigating, not looking promising. I myself have had this error code as well with my BF4 game so i traded it for AC4 but then got the same error. Can't say this will work for everyone and it won't help you play online. BUT I went into SETTINGS : DISCONNECTED FROM THE INTERNET and have stayed disconnected for 5 days now,with no error code. It seemed to me that the PS4 didn't like being connected to the internet. Not sure if it auto syncs with the network every now and then and causes the crash. Anyhow i'm error free offline and won't be reconnecting to the internet until it's sorted, as the error is also causing lose of saved data. I no longer have my 3 days of campaign gameplay for BF4. Not saying this will work for everyone but it's getting me through until sony comes up with a fix or issue or worst case a recall of affected consoles. The reason i say that is because the silence from them is deafening.

UPDATE; Thought i would be brave and reconnect to the internet and the psn ( AC4 Kenway‘s Fleet ) After much reading though i thought it would be safer if i tried a couple of things first. 1: DELETE all traces of BF4 on my console except Trophies 2: INITIALIZE the console ( hold down power button for 7 seconds follow the prompts) as this DOES NOT delete profiles or saved game data. The result has been 3 days of fully connected gameplay and NOT ONE sign of the dreaded error code CE-34878-0 on my AC4 gameplay. I believe I've been lucky because others have not been let off so lightly. So many reports of consoles being returned only to have the error code reappear on the new console. Pages and pages of people begging for help on the PSN support forum and absolutely no help or support from Sony just a total lack of disrespect for loyal customers. Hopefully there won't be a recall and it can be patched but if not Microsoft needs to ensure shelves are filled with stock because i know what i'll be doing. SHAME ON YOU SONY. NO RESPECT EQUALS NO LOYALTY. This error is so widespread it's ridiculous. That Sony have not attempted to even make a statement to alleviate consumers fears is even more ridiculous. This issue is almost 8 weeks old with no response except, (We are investigating) even that response is 4 weeks old. I'm done: goodbye Sony.

This error is a common error for the PS4 especially when playing Battlefield 4. Unfortunately there isn't a fix for this problem yet. So far it only happened once on me while I played Battlefield 4, all the other games worked fine. EA has been asking for exactly what players are doing when it happened so that they can pinpoint exactly what is the issue.

UPDATE: Still no more error code ce-34878-0 My problem seems to be solved so far.
