Latest DVD/Blu-ray Puchases Thread

I seriously cannot remember the last time that I purchased a physical copy of a movie. That is a wild idea to me now, considering all of the "tools" on the internet, plus my Netflix account. I more over less rent movies or watch them online instead of buying them.

I prefered the first one,this was OK but not my fav.However they say the 3D in this is great so thought Id give that a go.

Just picked these up this arvo from JB Hi Fi. Been ages since I last bought a blu-ray. I'm a little ashamed of myself lol.

@Haze, I never buy DVDs or Blu-Rays. I tend to find watching movies online and connect with a HDMI to my TV works just as well. Quality is usually fairly nice as well.

I have the regular 2D one but wanted the 3D copy (also playsin 2D as well though).
I like the Underworld series but this 4th one really is the weakest.
Kate Beckinsale still looks great in that black suit though

Yeah I've often thought about giving those films a go. My guilty pleasure are the Resident Evil films, and I hear these two franchises share a lot in common.

Was the only one missing from the trilogy so...

I don't feel too proud as this wasn't very good from memory but hey - t'was only $10.

The only 2 I have on blu ray are Superman Returns and ofcourse Man of Steel (3D)

Yep. That boxset came with Superman Returns. Had it on DVD (actually all of them) but it was time to upgrade. But cannot find any of them on Blu-ray down here (except for Superman Returns) so thank God for Ebay

I haven't seen the latest Hobbit movie

I'll have to get it and watch it. I've actually missed out on a lot of movies in the last year or so.

The Desolation of Smaug really surprised me how good it was and much superior it is compared to An Unexpected Journey (I still think "Unexpected" is very very good though).

I know I'll be in the minority here, but I actually prefer the Hobbit films to the LOTR trilogy
