Loud Dualshock 4 rumble motor problem ???? HELP !!!!

Hey guys, i was playing need for speed rivals on PS4 , i crashed on a wall and i heard the rumble motor. Its not very quiet, i heard it rattle. I don't know if that's a problem or that's how it is. PLEAS HELP !!! i hope i didn't get a crappy controller. i wouldn't be happy waiting for another one and sending this and not being able to play. Hopefully it is like that. Btw it's mostly the right motor.

I'm not entirely sure what the problem here is. You've.. heard the rumble motor in the controller? You mean it's too loud or something?

I wouldn't worry about it, might might just be that the motor is slightly touching the wall of the controller from the inside or whatever. It can't really be anything serious. You could open it up and take a look inside, maybe it somehow slipped out of its socket or wasn't glued/inserted there properly for some reason.

Yeah i hear it. The right one is kind of loud. Like when it vibrates it rattles, is it hard to open ? Do you know how to ? is it only the 4 screws on the back ? Thanks for letting me know. I think ill open it and see.

One weight is supposed to be bigger than the other. Do not worry about that. and as long as the wire (ribbon) for the light is not torn or separated from the contacts on the PCB, it is fine.

Oh ok, but is it loud ? Mine is pretty loud. Louder than my dual shock 3. Is yours also loud ?? My right motor is loud. Probably because its heavy.

...did you just open up the controller? To this day, one of the worst things that i could do is open a controller, there is always going to happen something wrong and i will not be able to put it together afterwards.
Also, dualshock rumbles when something happens in game, of course it will make noise. Until it doesn't make a sound of a big RC car, i don't see a problem.

For last, protip from me to you: disable vibration, you will get at least 2 hours of more battery.

Try testing the vibration while the controller is taken apart and try to see what exactly is making the noise, or if the noise is gone while it is apart.

Yes i opened it. Was a bit tricky but i opened harder stuff. I had the noise before i open it that's why i opened it. My DS3 was MUCH quieter. And also its not a nice noise. it rattles. i know your supposed to hear it but not as much as i do. I like having the vibration it makes me more in the game.

Thanks anyway, ill see what am gonna do about it.

Ill have to open it again, ill maybe do it, also ill be buying a second controller soon so ill compare both of them. I think its just the weight on the right rumble motor that makes it so loud. It could also be hitting the case. Ill see.
