MOTOGP 14 on PS4 ?

Nice. I am a huge fan of all the MotoGP's so I am definitely going to have to check this out. After watching the video it seems like any other motorcycle racing game that I have played, but I guess there isn't really anything wrong with that. As long as the graphics and physics are great I will be happy.

Just found this trailer and the comments from the big web sites quoted says it all. I posted Y'day the same things. This game is SUPERB! Great online commiity i've found too.

I REALLY hope some of you from this web site get this game as i would GLADLY set up a forum MotoGP series. It's BEGGING to have it done as it's so simple to get racing to any needs we would want.

Thanks for taking the time to review Blackadder. I ordered mine through Amazon and it is getting shipped from Canada, so I should have it in a couple of weeks. I hope the difficulty level is like Milestone's WSBK games, tough to master but when you do you're flying.

Nice one Pie,

Re the difficulty, with the AI on Medium and the physics on semi pro or pro... that will be challenging enough. Even with the Physics on standard it's still pretty easy to loose control of the bike if you just hammer it. I'm having to bleed the power on and not throw the bike around and do my best to play smooth.. ie just like the real thing.

Had a monumental online battle with someone y'day. 3 corners exchanging places, side by side, not taking each other off. Me squeaking by inside a tight corner he probably thought he was tight on already... man if only the ps4 had the Xb1 "record that " ability, i'd be flooding this forum with epic racing moments. ( note i know the pS4 has the share button but i don't have a facebook or twitter account to record my gameplay moments to )

Sounds awesome.

I'm curious, since I am not interested in "arcade" racers, how are the triggers on the PS4 controller compared to the XB1 controller for throttle control? From experience the XB1 controller has nice response for increment throttle inputs, just haven't had an opportunity to use the triggers on the PS4 controller yet.

Do you know if the multiplayer will allow access on the import copy? Meaning would I be able to join you in an online game?

Re the tiggers, i've used the triggers on the Xb1 controller for Forza5, and it is a really neat feature to have the triggers rumble when you go over curbs when racing. This is going to sound odd though, the triggers for the Xb1 controller feel more akin to gun triggers. Because the triggers on the PS4 controller are a bit flatter i feel they are much more responsive to finese for racing games especially for this game MOTOGP. I definately feel i can finese the acceleration with the PS4 controller better than i would have done if this was on the Xb1.

Re the Mp side of it, i'd love you to join me, but i don't know if i'm locked in to local eurpoean servers or if people from the states can join. There is no code to get online. So far as the game has only been released here in Europe i've only met european's mainly spanish / english who are the main supporters of Motogp. There's no server options for the Mp, but i guess if your on my friends list i can invite you into my lobby though and off we go racing :)

one quirk i've found that is a little annoying. I actually won 2 races last night online. It registerred that i had played the games in the total number of games online played, but not that i'd won :( Again i can't get over just how great the racing is. It's exciting / thrilling stuff each and every race even if your not leading. The battles and the way you can race so quick and so close to each other is great. Made a new friend last night on the game just by sending him a message about how good the racing with him was.

Woo HOo! Got all the online trophies for this game now! Just so you know the trophy for 25 online races, is not just 25 online races it's actually 25 grand prix races. Online that don't count towards this trophy is also split time races, and grand prix championship races. They don't count, it's simply 25 grand prix races only.

Came back from vacation on Saturday and the game was waiting for me in the mailbox. Excellent.

First impressions: The graphics are good. Not Forza 5 good, but good enough for what I imagine are limited resources for Milestone.

Gameplay: I started career mode which puts you in the Moto 3 class. Physics are set to pro, and I put the difficulty on medium. I am no stranger to racing games or MotoGP games and I must say even on medium difficulty it is currently a challenge. I have the controls set for auto-tuck and auto gears until I can get used to the control movements of the motorcycle and re-learn the tracks. Once I accomplish this, which will most likely happen during my second Grand Prix season, I will adjust the settings and go for broke. Overall the gameplay is very good. AI is still stupid sometimes with passing but it's not uncommon in any racing game regardless of budget.

Online: I played a couple online games just to see how I would like it. I did all quick matches and it just so happens that every room the collisions were turned off. Judging by some of the people racing I would have to say that was a good thing.

Bonuses: If you happen to be a MotoGP fan, there are bonuses when you level your rider up. These bonuses include new customizable gear such as helmets, gloves and boots. There are also photos and videos that are unlocked as you progress in rank. The quality of these videos is top notch and almost worth the price of the game by itself. I look forward to unlocking more and more of the videos as they are that good.

Overall I am very pleased with the game, a solid 8/10 for me. Motorcycle racing game "simulators" are difficult to make regardless of the creators budget and Milestone is taking steps in the right direction. The gameplay is enjoyable and it keeps me coming back, which is a win in any column of any game.

I also have this , and its by far the best moto gp game yet . Very addictive , and although the graphics probably aren't next gen the gameplay is brilliant . The online also seems to work very well , no lag or dropping out of races due to connection issues (have done about 20 races so far) . The diffence between the moto 3 bikes and the gp bikes is about right , lots of feathering that throttle coming out of corners .

I am a huge fan of the series and must say this game gets better every year. I'm getting a bit tired of people moaning about graphics while the rest of the game is so good. Racing in this game can be such a rewarding experience!

However whats your opinion about the controler feedback? I personally find this a bit lacking on the ps4 this year? Am I the only one noticing this? I race in first person cam and this year there is no controller-feedback when riding the curbs. Anyone else find this a bit disturbing? Also the overall feedback through the controller is dimmed down, which makes it harder to feel what the bike is doing. Since I race in first person view, and can't see my own bike, this kind of feedback is very important!. I hope they will patch this in.

Still enjoying the game immensly!!

Re the controller feedback, i can't ride in FPS view, but it would have been nice to have some sort of rumble when you go over the rumble strips. I find the feathering of the throttle bang on hard though, and i sometimes find it difficult to gauge if the rear wheel is skidding with no controller feedback, on the visual one on screen. :(
