Need Headset advice...

I was following this thread and have decided to buy myself (treat) Turtle Beach XP SEVEN headset. I have to admit that I was unfamiliar with this brand and to my embarassement verbally compared them to Skull Candy headphone!!!!
I now stand enlightened and can't wait to order them at the end of the month. I believe they are compatible with Playstation 4 and are what serious gamers use.
I am not a hardcore gamer BUT do like to buy quality products and believe these will be an investment into my future gaming.




Does anyone else have these and how have they found them as far as being used on the Playstation 4? I also note they are 5.1 but am not worried too much as to their not being 7.1....

Got my XP SEVEN's and all I can say is......WOW!!!!

They are so comfortable to wear and I now have to take a degree to learn how to use ALL the functions available...LOL

I thought i remember reading somewhere that the head sets are not a true 7.1, on that note 7.1 was originally a THX certified output available in a small market of home theaters and are very expensive. My point is that unless we are all audiophiles, we will not be able to pick up and actually recognize the signal difference on a 7.1 compared to a 5.1. Most stereo heads will agree that a good to high quality 5.1 is as good as a 7.1
