Need help to fix my ps4 control

I did some thing stupid to day i try to connect my ps4 control to my pc to play games on steam. shortly i notice there was a big issue with my left thumb stick. when i want go left or right using the left thumb stick it doesn't work at all in ps4 or steam . i want back to double check my work every thing is install right.

any one know where i can find a fix for this issue. i was think of doing a factory reset on my ps4 but i don't think that would fix my control and i would lose all my data if i do that

so any one have idea where i can find the a original file for the ps4 control or am better off buying a new ps4 control

did you have to modify the firmware on the ps4 controller or something? If not, and its not working with your ps4, I'm afraid its simply broken and you need to get a new one.
