need help!!

I was playing my ps4 earlier today and it just froze up and started making this really loud buzzing noise and I couldnt get it to power off and I couldnt get my game out so I had to unplug it and then do a hard reset but it keeps doing the same thing I even called Sony and the man I talked to said he never heard of a ps4 freezing and making a buzzing sound so can anyone that might know what it might be please help?

What did the rep say after that? I would think they would be smarter than to say, "That's weird," and then just hang up the phone. Did they give you a potential solution?

Well that's weird. I'm guessing its more of hardware problem since it's buzzing. What kind of buzzing is it anyway? Is it coming from the console itself or was it the audio? Well Sony's customer support is your only option right now.

Does it boot up and go into the game then does that?

I read somewhere this happened to a guy, turned out to be optical drive issue.

Yeah, optical drive issue makes sense. You also may have loose parts in there or something. You should still have your warranty. It sucks, but you'll probably have to send it away.

You should take the console back and get a new model. It is less than one year old so it will still be covered under warrantee so they can't argue with you. It sounds like a really strange issue though, I haven't heard of it happening before.

If you are still under warranty, you may just want to save yourself the time and hassle and just send it in. That way you don't spend a million hours on the phone, going through the same script of tech fixes, just to end up having to send it in anyway.
