In the wake of all the negative news Nintendo has received when it comes to the Wii U, the Nintendo 3DS has been a tiny sliver of good news as it has been announced that the handheld system is the best selling console for the second month in a row. It would definitely be great if somehow Nintendo managed to transfer some of that success to the Wii U.

Not surprised at all. It's been doing exceptionally well in the UK recently. There had been some really good titles coming out recently and there's more to come in the upcoming months. Really good stuff, I can't wait till I buy mine soon , a little bit short on money now but I should be able to get one by the end of this month.

Nintendo always produce the most successful consoles in the world, No two ways about it. The Wii U may be crap but it will still sell better than most others.

Put me in the relatively-surprised category. I feel like I remember reading something that said the 360 was leading sales for all consoles for September, but that feeling is vague. In any case, Nintendo won't be enjoying success like this for a while once the XB1 and PS4 hit the shelves.

At the end of the day, it is all about games and man, does the 3DS have great games. Think back to when everybody was burying the 3DS because for poor sales. What has changed between now and then? Not the hardware. The only thing that changed is that there are now tons of great games for the system. I expect it to continue to do well for years to come.

Except it's not and the GameCube wasn't a major success either. The 3DS is pretty good though, I'll give you that.
