No option to change themes?

I never noticed this until yesterday that there are no themes for the PS4. I thought something was missing but couldn't pinpoint exactly what until I noticed that I've been looking at the same blue background. Will Sony add themes in the future? By the way, what's the PS4's main interface called?

Thats right,no themes or wallpaper changes..yet.

Also I cant change my avatar on PS4,I can change it on my PS3 then it shows on my PS4 but any avatars I bought on PS3 are not shown on PS4 in my account setting where avatars are.
My first thought was maybe I need to download them to PS4 but there are no avatar buy options on PS4 store and as I said,when I set it on my PS3 it shows on PS4,if I had to download it to PS4 it wouldn show at all in the first place would it?

As for the name of the UI,I dont think there is actually a name for it,just an updated XMB from PS3.
I could be wrong though so please correct me if Im wrong anyone.

There aren't any theme options for the Xbox One yet either. My guess is that they will add this at a later date in an update. I can't imagine that they wouldn't add this, as it seems like a nice little source of extra income for them. I have friends that used to always get new themes for their consoles on the PS3 and 360. I personally never cared either way-My PS3 has an Uncharted theme and I couldn't even tell you what my 360 theme is.

It does sound odd, they are not available on the PS4 but it shows. Maybe the stock avatars we choose are stored in the hdd while the once we bought are stored at the server side. PSN works across all platforms so avatars will show even if they are not available on the console itself.

I hate to say it but both the PS4 and XB1 are showing signs of a rushed release.

At least with the PS4 it's a software issue and can be updated in time. The XB1 has some hardware deficits that it's never going to be able to make up for.

For me, this is a nice feature, but I would never pay for a theme, just choose some free ones that will inevitably come in time (usually bundled with games).

I'm pretty sure they will be added in the future. But no definite answer from anybody at Sony. Same thing with PS Home.

I really hope they add themes eventually, especially dynamic themes... those are pretty nice. My favorite has to be Dark Souls' dynamic theme, heh.

Anyway, this is an issue with X1 too at the moment, but hopefully just a temporary thing for both consoles.

Actually you can change avatars from ps4 ..go to profile then edit profile the option is right there

I know,but like I said above, only the avatar Im currently using shows up there,there are no other avatars to choose from,none that Ive bought on PS3.
The only way I can actually use a diff one is change it on PS3 then that will show up on PS4.

edit: I moment,Im trying something....

edit 2: Nah,I changed it from PS3 thinking maybe it would be added to the PS4 selections but no,only the avatar Im using shows up there again.

Go to settings then click on PSN then it will give you the option to activate as primary ps4 ...you can also change your automatic renewal from here

I did activate it as primary PS4,and I even did again now just to make sure.
Still same.

Like I said,as far as I can see everything is correct in my settings,but only the avatar I set on PS3 shows in PS4 avatar options.
