Open World Games

I know some of you really enjoys playing open world games. What open world games have you played? Perhaps some of us haven't tried some of it and we would of course be glad to. Here are mine:

1. GTA series - I think everyone already knows of these games.
2. Prototype & Prototype 2 - Another known open world game. It's like GTA but with a darker story, and you have godly powers.
3. Assassin's Creed series - Takes place in ancient to early times. Has some restrictions.
4. Bully - Takes place in a school and town outside. Pretty entertaining. You can be a bully and you can date students. But of course you have to attend classes too.

I believe the Just Cause series is pretty open world. You can explore, kill just about anything and anyone. The gameplay and storyline is pretty neat, and I haven't finished the game yet. I was stuck on a certain part, but I may replay it in the future.

I consider Minecraft to be pretty open world as well, but it's specifically sandbox, and a lot of sandbox games are open world like Garry's Mod.

Another series is Skyrim, the map is huge, and the amount of time you can spend on that game is ridiculous. I have a friend who has 70 hours logged on the game, and is still occasionally playing.

Open World games are probably my faborite type of games usually they have good replay value. Skyrim, Assassins Creed, GTA, Far Cry 3, and .Infamous 2 are some of my favorite games and they are all open world.

Just Cause 2 has an absurdly big map. I remember just running around, flying jets, and driving cars and boats all over the place. I performed some pretty sick stunts, too; it's not realistic at all, but that's what I love about it. My favorite stunt was when I accidentally crashed my speedboat into a piece of land, flew up over the road, skidded down the highway for a few meters, then landed safely back in the water on the other side. I've never done anything close to that in any other game, it was so awesome.

Just Cause 2 is one of the best, yet underrated, open world games ever. The game has bestowed upon you a giant playground, and it is up to you on how you'd capitalize such gift. In addition to that, there is an incoming multiplayer mod for the game, thus, making the experience better and more fun for everyone!

Hmm, well I'd like to consider KotOR and KotOR 2 as open worldish and they are pretty awesome. Love just messing around on Just Cause 2, it has to be one of my favorite games to just mess around in it. Also I liked the open level design of the older Hitman games was really great since I loved the options it gave you for the missions.
