PC Gaming Mouse

Does anyone have an opinion about what the best PC gaming mouse is? Has anyone ever had a Logitech G500? I've read that's a good mouse with a nice ergonomic design and it's supposed to be very sensitive.

I had a G5 for a long time but then upgraded to a Razer Mamba. The Mamba is an amazing mouse for twitch gaming and fps. Not the best for MMO RPG though.

I don't have a gaming mouse but I would love to have one. I play my PS3 more often than my PC so I guess I won't need a gaming mouse for now.

I've never had a gaming mouse before, though I've got a gaming keyboard. Do you think a gaming mouse is necessary if you already have a keyboard? Or should I get one as well?

I was just looking at Razer Mamba on Best Buy. It's about $130 but it seems to have top of the line features for a gaming mouse. For a serious player, maybe it would be worth it.
