People Are Mad At Destiny Again

So people are mad about Destiny again. It turns out since the real servers won't be turned on until Monday sometime there won't be any reviews for folks to read on the morning of release.

I've read some posts from people who are going as far as to go cancel pre-orders because of this, plus there is just the good old rage from gamers being mad at everything.

I think this is a ridiculous thing for people to be mad at for a number of reasons. Reviews are stupid (I know, ironic). In general you should know what you like and what you don't by now, don't rely on review scores. But especially in the case of Destiny, the Beta ended up being open, so everybody could play it and decide for themselves whether they like it or not. I don't see why this is such a big deal... Opinions?

So people are mad because they cannot read a review for a game they know they're going to buy? I am already predicting the game will average between an 8-9 in scores out of 10. There. An 8. Go buy it everyone.

Why is a game that's mainly online, being launched without servers until the monday ?

Well it is the Monday before release. So the only reason they would be on sooner is for press or really late testing.

I can understand frustration with companies that push out games before reviewers have a chance to try them, but it doesn't seem like you could blame Bungie for pushing out the game under the radar. They pretty much had open alphas and betas for this thing, and if you haven't tried it yourself by now it's because you didn't want to. I'm not saying a few days playing the first few levels of the game tells you everything you need to know, but it should give you a pretty decent idea if it's for you or not. Bungie is not just pushing out this game trying to make a quick buck before people realize what they bought. They clearly have a long-term plan for this franchise, and are not just relying on week one purchases.

Anyway, how much can you really trust reviewers these days? I'll trust my own judgement of beta over IGNs bought and paid for 9.5 and Kotakus review that you shouldn't play it because there aren't enough trans-gendered handicapped npcs of color in it.

Servers go live the day before release..... I don't see the problem? Or am I missing something.
People will always find something to piss and moan about. It's the way it is these days... Quite unfortunate.
Their are hours and hours, hundreds and hundreds, thousands and thousands of gameplay footage on YouTube right now. The whole "I want to see reviews before buying" thing is stupid.
If you missed the beta... To bad I guess, I missed it too... No big deal, I'm still buyin the game.
