PlayStation Plus subscription not working on PS4

So i've purchased PlayStation Plus on my account, actually have had it for awhile. But the PSN is still trying to make we repurchase it. I'm going to call Sony to get it sorted out. I'm wonder if anyone else is having the same problem getting their PS4 to recognize their PS Plus subscription.

I don't have Playstation Plus but one of my friends was telling me last night that his is not working. He said it didn't even recognize he had it and was telling him to pay for it again but he didn't want to. I told him to call Sony just like you said your going to do so if you call them first let me know what happens and I'll relay it on to him so he can get his fixed as well. Or if he does his first I'll let you know what Sony tells him!

Please provide an update to this. I'm planning on picking up a PS4 sometime before Christmas, and I'd like to know what to do.

i just got off the phone with them. My subscription works. So if i go to a game that is suppose to be free it will let me download it for free. Their have been issues according to the guy about the Plus network but the discounting is intact. As it still shows me a bunch of membership options under the PS Plus tabs. But if you go to games directly you still get all your benefits. You'll see a plus symbol under games and such to let you know what the discounted price or if its free. And that works fine. Had me on hold for an hour.

Yeah, I heard that this was an issue and my recommendation to you was going to be calling Sony. A lot of people were having this problem and other issues with PSN as a whole, I think the firmware update is supposed to help in resolving a lot of people's PSN problems but there are still some minor issues with the Network that need to be resolved. It's things like this that stop me from buying a new console on launch.

You should still be able to use it, I think it's glitchy and sometimes slow on PSN Store. Does it show up on My Service list?

Unfortunately PSN still has some kinks to be worked out, but Sony seems to be pretty on top of it. The damage still isn't enough to turn me off of the console but I do wish they would have the issue fixed by now especially with the Xbox One launching tonight. Hopefully they get it together soon, because if anything is holding the PS4 back it's the issues with PSN.
