Hey guys, I got my ps4 yesterday and I installed ghosts, and when I clicked start to play it, it stays at the screen titled 'call of duty ghosts' for about 25 seconds. Now to me that seems awfully long compared to friends that get 5-10 seconds. It's a brand new console, I tried reinstalling the game, initialising the ps4, restoring factory settings, clearing data... The lot! Still doesn't help. Anyone got any ideas? They will be much appreciate. Thanks

Have you tried other games?

Does your optical drive makes weird noises when loading?

Could be your disc or optical drive.

Hey mate, I downloaded some free game from the store, and even that stayed at the loading screen for a solid 30+ seconds too. Noise doesn't seem out of the ordinary either

Would there be any way to fix it if it was my optical drive? And if I took it back what would e the best thing to say to get my console replaced ?

You should still have the warranty for it. Take it to the nearest shop and you will get the console fixed right away and probably for free too!

Maybe there i something wrong wit the disc.

Does your system do this with other games? That would answer your question. if your system only loads slow with Call of Duty. Then i am almost sure it is the disc, and the problem has nothing to do with your system.

However, if your system does this with every game. i would suggest you send it back to Sony.

The OP said it was happening with downloaded games, so that would rule out the disk.

I didn't catch that.

That would almost certainly make it a software issue. This sounds petty serious. I have never seen an issue like this. I would recommend that you contact Sony by phone, no emails, or support tickets. You need to talk to a real person, and get to the bottom of this. You might have to send it back to Sony. If restoring it doesn't work. I don't know what will.

Does it happen to every game? I've literally never heard of this problem before. Your best bet would probably be to contact Sony and get it fixed.

It shouldn't happen. I know it's a console, but it doesn't take that much time to load like the old gen ones did. Try to get it to a repair shop (if you still have the warranty).
