PS4 D-Pad issue

Hi there! Im facing an unusual issue with my PS4 controller's d-pad. For some odd reason, i have to press slightly harder on the right d-pad button compared to the up, down and left buttons. And no, the buttons are pressing smoothly (nothing sticky). I did drop my controller hard once or twice but on my carpet thats about it. I do, however, play quite a lot.

What can i do? Should i open it up and see if i can clean up whats underneath? Need a bit of help! -]

Probably it's just some dirt or maybe just the normal wearing out.

I had something similar happen on my PS3 controller. I opened it up, took out the rubber behind the D-dad with rubber from a scrapped controller, put it back together, works fine now. Sometimes they just wear out. Though if you tear apart a controller, watch YouTube videos and really pay attention when disassembling. There's lots of little parts in these things. If you aren't paying attention, you'll have an aggravating time trying to put it back together.

Titan, I agree with your suggestion but I would pay an extreme attention while opening a controller because there's a very high possibility not to be able to re-assemble it back again, expecially because of springs & leverages that loose their place and their preload. I say it because it happened to me and I am not a beginner with such workshop operations. :Onya
