PS4 launching with 17 games

Sony today officially confirmed the PlayStation 4's North American launch lineup, scheduling 17 titles to arrive with the platform on November 15, 2013.

By comparison, Microsoft's Xbox One will feature 22 launch titles.

Well, PS3 launched with 12 games if i'm not wrong, just a little comparison.
For launch, the games should be varied and include different genres, so it's looking good although I'm not buying it at November 15, the people who will have a good list to choose from.

I wouldn't be surprised if I don't get a PS4 by 2015, so my opinion doesn't really matter, but I don't really see anything that makes me want to pick up a PS4 on launch. I'll get one eventually!

I agree; I'll get one eventually like I always do, but there's no rush. I never buy new technology, and this is no exception. I don't have any negative views of it, I just don't think it's worth it. Plus, I'd like to get an HDTV as my next major purchase since so far I've been playing on my tiny computer monitor. 17 is better than 4 or 5, but who knows how many of those games are worth playing or suit your tastes?

That's a nice amount of games to be launching with. Not only is that a great amount, but they are also high-quality games for the most part. I won't be much disappointed, especially when I finally get my hands on that NBA Live 14. I knew Playstation would pull through and exceed all expectations.

The more the merrier. That looks like a decent collection but frankly nothing there makes me want to immediately go and buy a PS4. So, I'll be waiting for a while before some of the other big guns start getting released. (Looking at you Watch Dogs)

Not a bad list of games. Some heavy hitters like BF4, Ghost, and KZ. My only complaint is not having a new Racer at launch - I got used to having a racing game at every launch.

Holy crap, I loved Flower! One of the most beautiful, simple, and original games I've ever played. I have to wonder if this iteration will be a simple port or if the game has actually been improved on. If I had one complaint about Flower it would be about the short length.

The list is pretty diverse, how many of those titles are Sony exclusives?

The only title that remotely interests me in that list is Lego Marvel, and even that I'm not particularly hyped about that apart from it being a Marvel game. It's unfortunate that the only two titles I got interested in were delayed, but I suspect that list will give joy to thousands of other fans, if not millions, so I'm not too broken up about it.

That's a pretty strong list of launching titles. Personally, it wouldn't make me buy a PS4 straight away, but Call of Duty, Madden, Lego "Insert title", Just Dance, and the NBA game will all attract a wide variety to keep them entertained while waiting for newer and better titles to come out.

Personally, I'm going to wait until the Metal Gear Solid games come out. MGS4 was the reason I bought a PS3, and it'll be the same reason why I buy a PS4. Sports games and FPS games just don't do it for me anymore. Not to mention, MGS4 I can play by myself without having someone in middle school yelling profanities at me. Ha ha

It seems PS4 is launching with pretty nice games, when I buy it I would definately buy Call of Duty Ghosts and Killzone Shadow Fall because I like games full of action and I am very good at playing these kind of games as well.
However I hope I buy PS4 quickly after saving.

I love it. It is bigger than the collection of games that the PS2 was launched with. It also helps that most of the games that they are lauching the PS4 with are games that i am interested in gettingf.

Nothing stands out on that list for me, but that is normal. Console launches are not normally that great. At least there is a variety of games available though for those people that er picking one up on launch day.

Yeah that's alright. Some of those are already on PS3/360. Give it a few months and real good stuff will come out.

Did Minecraft get delayed? Seems like a solid list. I am more concerned with what comes out first quarter 2014. Looks like a little drought there. I didn't know Injustice was coming out, I wonder if it will look any better than current gen.

I can't believe how fast Injustice Gods Among us came out as an ultimate edition. I bought the game new (which is very rare for me) plus the season pass, which didn't even include Martian Manhunter (aka the only character I cared about). It's a good game, but man do I feel ripped off.
