PS4 Main Menu - "circle" button is confirm and x button is "back"

I am an English man in Thailand and I have bought a PS4.

In the main PS4 menu the X button is back and the circle button is confirm....

This is the wrong way round to what I am used to. Anyone know how to change it? Is it because of the region I am in?

Any help would be appreciated

You can't, it's a region thing because Asian Playstation follows their Japanese counterpart. "o" is always to confirm and "x" is back. It's been the same since the days of the PS3.

I didn't know this. At least it's not triangle is confirm and X is cancel. That would really throw me off. I guess it'll become second nature to you, OP.

Just learned something new there. Always expected the "X" button to be universally "confirm/accept" and cancel being whatever.
