PS4 microphone usb input ?

Hey people it's my first post here ,
Right now I'm using a Logitech G430 headset on my ps3, here's how I set it up :

I wanted to know if you people knew if the PS4 will still take the sound from the USB port because I noticed a port on the bottom of the new controller like the Xbox's ; like in this image :

I watched a vid somewhere, I think ign. They said you'd still be able to use ps3 headsets. Not completely certain if I'm getting this mixed up with another accessory though sorry.

They said that the majority of third party peripherals for the PS3 will work with the PS4, if I recall correctly they gave the example of fightsticks , and they always use USB controls, so I think that you will be able to use any USB headsets as well.

The PS4 has USB ports. You'll have enough USB ports to fit your headset, so I wouldn't worry about that. It would be pretty absurd to put out a console without USB ports on a controller or the console itself.

That is a great question. I am also another gamer who hates the hassle some of us have to go through to actually hook up our system. I am hoping for the same thing as you, regarding the controller.

I really hope they make it compatible with the PS3 headsets because it would really suck to get new one when my old ones are really comfortable. I don't really mind going through the hassle to hook up everything. I am hoping for he best for PS3.

I heard that the PS4 will not support Bluetooth and USB headsets at first.
An update or patch will fix everything.

Then the console comes with a headset so cheap to make. It's a shame.

Xbox One has the same concerns, but it is possible that Sony make us wait long, because the players will come forward to show our discontent.

Do you know if it will support ordinary headsets/earphones?
