ps5 defective controller

Has anyone else gotten a defective ps5 controller with their console. Mine kept acting weird, got another one and that one is good. Wonder how and when Sony will honor the return of the defective controller. Any news you got will be helpful, thanks

The controller that came with my console is mostly fine, but the d-pad has the issue that when I press down it often also registers right which is pretty annoying in a game like Spelunky, or any precision platformer. I got a 2nd DualSense and it doesn't seem to have this issue. I should probably return the original one for replacement, but it seems like a pain. Right now I just avoid using that controller when I want to use the d-pad for games like that.
