Hi, i got a faulty ps5 uk version (new) where -
1. The disc drive does not work. Tried several original discs and not a single disc has been read. FYI I did not enter disc the wrong way.
2. The ps5 does not eject the disc if placed vertically. It only ejects if placed horizontally.
I have sent it out for diagnostics and the seller informed -
The lens had gone bad because the disc been put in the wrong way (which I didn't).
Anyway, my question is:
1. Is it possible for the lens to have gone bad if the disc is inserted the wrong way?
2. Even if that is the case, does that also mean the disc won't eject if the console is placed vertically?
Would really appreciate if anyone can shed a light to this.
Thanks.
