I will keep it short and simple
What is the best current available ssd for expandable storage?
Warranty - should I get one, and if so, which one.
The menu music stopped playing after being in a party, and I don't know how to fix it.

Any SSD should work fine. I have a Samsung 870 QVO in a ugreen usb-c case. Works great and is fast. Note that you can only use an external for PS4 games. In the future you might be able to use it for cold storage of PS5 games, but you can’t right now. You’ll never be able to play PS5 games off an external - the performance won’t be adequate.
