Redstone Locking Problems

Hey guys,

I have recently started playing minecraft and I've been watching some tutorials on youtube about creating sticky piston doors with a lock. The thing is that I cannot seem to get my doors to lock. Is there a bug for the PS4 where the doors wont lock using redstone repeaters?

Say this is a repeater: ->


To lock the doors you need a repeater facing another repeater, correct? Like this

The bottom repeater when powered up should stop the current to the repeater on the top

Hey Nuggett, I am having very similar problems mate.

I am following all online tutorials exactly and the problem with the repeaters is getting me too.

Done a bit of research and found this "A latch cannot be created by combining two redstone repeaters: The second repeater, pointing into the left or right side of the first, does not provide the latch functionality as in the PC version." On the minecraft.gamepedia site (this forum won't let me post a link).

My question now is, has anybody been able to figure out an alternative way to make a piston door that can be locked with a switch on the PS4 version of Minecraft?
