Regular Kindle for kids

Do you think a regular Kindle (79.99) would be a good gift for a kid that loves to read? Have you seen the Kindle library? Are there good books for teens too? I'm trying to think of something for my niece for Christmas.

I think that a Kindle might be a good gift How old is your niece? I am pretty sure they have a good amount of books for a young adult but if she is interested in picture books, I'm not sure. The price is really good right now.

I'd highly recommend a kindle as a good e-book for kids. They have an incredibly large library to choose from, books don't tend to be more than $10, and the device itself is pretty durable.

She is 12 and I'm pretty sure I'm going to get one. I think reading is great so why not get her something that she can get free books or borrow books from the library with. I hope they have enough books that she will like available on the Kindle.

I think a Kindle is a great gift for a 12 year old that likes to read. There are plenty of young adult novels available and it's something she can continue using as she gets older. I would have loved it as a kid.

I love the fact that you are supporting reading. I think a Kindle, is an excellent gift idea. The cool thing about a Kindle is, that it is not just for reading. You can also use the Kindle to check email, use mobile internet, and listen to mp3s.

I'm pretty sure you can't do all of those things with the regular Kindle's can you? I thought only the Kindle Fire allowed you to do all of those things? Then again I don't know. It would be cool if the regular Kindle's did let you surf the net the check your e-mail.

There are a lot of great books for e-readers like Kindle. You can download a collection of Grimm brothers or Hans Christiansen tales. If it's for teenagers, you can download the Twilight saga or any books from the publication Teen Reader.
