Second generation Sony Move coming soon?

I'm not going to dump all over this, even though Sony is pushing this still but I wish that both Xbox and Sony would knock it off. Every time they release motion control features it's obvious that it's an afterthought. The games never live up to the potential because it's obvious that they aren't even trying. Just focus on your main line-up and leave the motion controls alone.

I'm not willing to be 100% negative about this but I'm hoping that this means that Sony would have studios focus on actual games when it comes to the move. It's all well and good to create a new version of the controller but if you don't have games that are made for the move in mind then it's just another cash grab.

I'd think they have something planned for the Move. I'd say at least three games that they're looking to build on to warrant building it...if they are. You don't just go into something new with one game and say "The Move was made for THIS game here specifically." That means that one game for the Move would have to be at least good with potential. Not "decent", "solid", "okay", "good, but I don't see them returning to this title."

I don't know, I never really liked it, the design is ugly and I felt very silly waving that thing in my friends living room. To meet a real gamer seats on the couch with Doritos and salsa stains on his T-shirt. If home entertainment was meant to be dynamic, TV remotes would not exist to begin with.

idk to much about this.
The only game i ever used the move on was killzone 3 with the gun attachment.

I really think that the move stuff is kinda dead. I didnt fine alot of ps3 games that had it or made good enough use of it to play using the move.

I hope they do do better this go around but i just see it hard to do alot.

The wii had motion controls and when it first came out it was great but after a while i wanted a controller for some games.
Now mario party and metriod rules with montion controls.

I don't hate the move. I just want them to make the games for it. I don't want move games to just be more shovelware. They have to be full fledged and good games. That's my problem with the Kinect and the original Move. They both just seemed to be a reaction to Nintendo rather than the companies trying to make a good peripheral.

Yeah the Move needs dedicated support for it to work. You can't just put a game out for it after you're done with your other titles and throw in motion play. These games have to be made with motion control in mind from the jump.

True the Move itself isn't a bad idea, the problem with the move and the Kinect is that the support was weak. Other than Just Dance and I'll be generous and include Dance Central what else did they have for those peripherals except useless shovelware? If the Move is making a comeback then they have to make good software to support it.

I believe that if Sony is even somewhat considering a Move 2, they learned their lesson from the last time. Sony learns their lesson when it comes to gaming. They were slow on the uptake when it came to built in (local) multiplayer functionality and ready to use (online) multiplayer with the PS2, but they picked it up with PS3--then they learned from pricing hobbling the PS3 for period this time around. They also moved on remote play this time.

Besides knocking it off with the janky stock headset in the next console, I don't see any major lessons to be learned, but you never stop learning. Maybe there will be something to clear up with Move 2 this time around.

I do like it, my sister in law gave us hers because they never use it and they know my wife and I game A LOT. We don't use it though, our kids do at least 1-2 times a month. On Epic Mickey or that one Eye Creature game.

I'm sure it was mentioned in the thread already, but were there any stand out games that used the Move or worked extremely well with it?

Well you have to remember that the Move was created to bite off the Wii-mote, Sony was trying to rip-off Nintendo and make a profit something they needed at the time because the PS3 wasn't doing well. But like the Kinect (another product of the Wii era), it was a cash grab so the majority of games are shovelware. That being said there were a couple of games that were decent on the move: House of the Dead: Overkill, and Golden Eye Reloaded were okay with the Move.

I figured a game like House of the Dead would work well with the Move. I never picked it up myself. It didn't seem like a knock-off, it was quality and sturdy, but definitely a rip off with no firm planning put into it.

I don't know, I actually liked the Move. I'd like for it to come back, but only with better support. It's a device that needs a regular roster of games designed specifically for it. Seems like we've moved away from motion control and to off TV play, really.

I'd say improvements with cloud and off TV are the things at the moment. I can play from my bathroom? What? We should've been there in like 2005. What sorcery is this that I don't need to set up a complex system of mirrors down the hallway?

You did that too? The mirror thing, I mean. The longer the hallway the more difficult it gets. Your controller also has to have some range.
