"Shocking" PS4 Announcement Tomorrow

Tomorrow on Spike's special PS4 All Access, there will be many shocking announcements, one of them apparently even surprised Sony president Shuhei Yoshida. What do you think it is? I can't wait to hear it.

Tomorrow night, Spike TV is hosting PS4 All Access, a PlayStation 4-centric event that promises to be full of exciting reveals. In fact, one of the announcements is so surprising, it shocked Sony Worldwide Studios president, Shuhei Yoshida.

That is... according to GTTV's Geoff Keighley, who posted the following tease on Twitter with a link to a short video showcasing a surprised Yoshida.

Wow. Honestly I have no idea what it could be. I'm guessing a return of a exclusive from the PS2 era? I don't know.

My hunch? Production of the PS Vita would stop due to low demand. The handheld would then be replaced by the far superior PocketStation. It would provide interconnectivity within the device and the save files of the PS4 in order for you to play Tamagochi like games on the go. And they'll charge 200 bucks for each of these cute, useless accessories.

Seems odd that they're announcing something right when the release happens. I guess if they have any big final surprises, now's a good time as any to bring it out. Hopefully it's more than just exclusives.

Man. You took the shocking part a bit too seriously.

I think it'll probably be a new exclusive. or maybe the announcement that TitanFall isn't an X1 exclusive anymore.

I have no idea what this might be, but now I'm really looking forward to finding out. Unless the shocking surprise is that there's not actually a PS4 and that it was all a hoax, and the box I'm supposed to be getting tomorrow won't actually be coming. Not that I think it's likely, given how many retailers would have to be in on it, and what it would do to Sony's reputation.

I wonder if it's going to have anything to do with the streaming service for PS3 games?

Well, it looks like it was Uncharted 4. As I said in another thread, I'm not very surprised at this announcement. It was inevitable, or it was to me anyway.
