So apparently it's the Console transitions fault that people hate Ghosts

haha wow! Are they serious? Do they expect making billions and having thousands of 10/10 reviews for every COD game? Is COD not supposed to fail or something? Did the devil make a deal with them?

It seems they may have put too much effort into Riley that they don't want to think about the mistakes they've made with the game. The sheer amount of detail put into Riley's fur coat among other things compared to the work they did with textures and whatnot is astounding.

They did mess up, they need to add 4 more players per team to balance with the size of the maps... And don't get me started about how broken the spawn points are...

I think that despite the fact that critics and gamers didn't really embrace Ghosts that it sold pretty well. And the fact for some reason that it wasn't 1080p on the Xbox One, and that a lot of people already owned it why are they surprised that it didn't get GTAV numbers? Those kind of sales are an abberation, an exception to the rule. Games don't normally do those kind of numbers.

+1... i love COD, but do think its better on the years when Treyarch makes it. I just cant believe that EVERY year they release a new COD and EVERY year we have the same issues... spaws all messed up, guns overpowered, general lobby and party issues, bad matchmaking. I wold not hesitate to say that 1/3 of my deaths in Ghosts are due to being spawned right in front of enemy players and being shot in the back.
What i really cant believe is that they are already talking about DLCs and havent even attempted to fix the existing problems.

While we all love Riley, I think we all need a break from Call of Duty. Seriously it's every single year, and gixxer750guy has a point, they never learn from their mistakes because they don't have to. A game like COD is the haven of the casual gamer and that's what drives the sales on name alone. Why should Treyarch fix it when they know that people don't care about the flaws enough to stop buying it? It's like the Madden regardless of how good it actually is people will buy the games. Maybe instead of pushing a game out every year, Treyarch can take some time to really flesh out COD.

Treyarch dont push a game out every year, they do it every second.
Treyarch and InfinityWard have been alternating every year, this years Ghosts in by InfinityWard.

it has nothing to do with the console transition. It has to do with the botching the game all to hell. There are several issues that kill all the fun of the game, and i have been a loyal COD supporter for many years now and this is by far the worst one. the matchmaking sucks. Spawn are atrocious! weapons are way too over powered, maps are too set up for campers...not to mention the bouts of severe lag and random freezes. And to top it all off they have released the WOLF skin and are releasing the 1st DLC in jsut a couple weeks and have not fixed 1 issue with the game since launch! I will tell you guys, we need to stand together and let Activision/infinity ward know we wont tollerate the any longer by not paying for any extras for this game until they fix these basic issues that we complain about EVERY year and if that doesnt solver the issue, boycott ALL of their games. alone we are weak, but together we are strong and have more power than you realize.

Then both companies need a break from cranking out a COD because I just can't anymore. Say what you will about AC at least Ubisoft seems to be taking steps to improve and change up the series. I'm washing my hands clean of COD because honestly it bores me out of my mind and Ghosts was the last straw.

Hopefully more people start thinking like you. Activision needs to stop shoving CoDs out every year. Problem is that it sells really damn well...

So you would prefer playing the same CoD for 2 years? Or 3?
Who wants to play the same game for that that long?
I get what you are saying but look at it this way.The way CoD games are designed the usually keep people interested for that 1 year, until the next game comes out,but "hey" I hear you say,"why not make it better and different enough to make it last 2 years" right?
Then we come back to the money point, when it sells so well every year why would they change the formula drastically? So we are stuck in a loop I guess.

This, I agree that there should be no limit on how many CoD's they release. After all, people start to get bored after a certain period of time. And plus, technology is changing so fast and faster than before, that they should mix it up every now and then. Keeping it fresh is the way to go!
