Sony took to their PlayStation Blog to reveal PlayStation 5's Box Art styling. This is what upcoming PS5 games will look on retail shelves...

Looks pretty much like the PS4 box art. Except the blue background is white :) Honestly, makes no difference to me. I like the minimalist design Sony has used on their box art since the PS3 rebranding (the PS3 box art during the wild Spiderman font days still makes me chuckle to this day :D )

I must say not much change here but I'm cool with that. I think that meme is hilarious where the Sony "graphic artist" is coming up with a new logo for PS5 & he just deletes the 4 & makes it a 5. I like the simplicity in that as well... 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5. No confusion as compared to Xbox who doesn't know where to go in names lmao.

I'd bet that is exactly how it happened! I agree though about Xbox. Fantastic systems but the numbering and naming conventions sometimes makes my head hurt. I get it though. They can't do the 1,2,3, etc because it'd be too much like Sony. At least MS tries to give the consoles it's own identity with the names, no matter how weird it gets. My only critique of MS is the consoles are quite minimalist in design now. But I think that's the point; to blend in with an entertainment center. The last bold design really was the original Xbox. You knew what that thing was and it was quite in your face (partially because it's so massive!). After that they got more and more minimalist. The One looks like a blu-ray player. Even the last 360 model looked like a shrunken Dell desktop computer. Sony has never been afraid to release a design that people looked at and said, "what the f*** is that?" And I dig it.

Well it's not a surprise that Microsoft tried to make it's consoles look like computers, I think that was intentional. The PS5 though, not sure where I'm gonna put that thing. It does look cool but it is massive.

Yup. It's gonna be a big boy. But I'm fine with that. If it means no red ring of death scenario, I'll make space. Besides, there's no way it's going to be bigger than my OG Xbox. Now THAT was massive! PS5 I'm sure will be comparable to that size.
