Stuck in Killzone

I'm getting my ass completely handed to me at the dropship part(I'm manning the gun in the ship right now). The game hasn't been very hard at all until right now..(I'm on medium difficulty). Has anyone got past this and can give suggestions? Pissing me off to no end.

when I get stuck I press up on the d-pad. the echo will tell you where to go. what level are you on?

This was an absolute pain for me, it took me a few attempts, it really just comes down to how good you are at at aiming at a non-linear moving target. Which just takes a lot of practice really.

Well I did get passed this part... I actually went back and beat the game on Hard, which was actually easy once you've played through the game once and know the level layouts(also note that the OWL is your best friend).

Going back to get collectibles is an absolute chore though and really shows how un-user friendly this game is. Can't save mid-level so if you missed a collectible at the beginning of a chapter you have to play the entire chapter through to acquire it. Also some collectibles you lose access to once you complete an objective(setting the course towards the sun on the 2nd chapter for example) and there's really no way to know this unless you're following a guide on youtube or something... Really just not fun.
