The Elder Scrolls Online is going to receive frequent DLCs after launch

Zenimex Studios has reiterated that they are determined to support this game after launch to keep all the players interested. We are going to say frequent updates and DLCs after the launch. It's really a good news for a content-whor* like me. What about you?

“We watch everybody in the market, but I’m a big proponent personally of making sure we keep a high frequency of content releases. A big part of our plans is the future of the game.

“We always want to make sure there is something new right around the corner. Our plan is to have new content coming out on a really frequent basis. We want to make sure that people are really into the game and get to experience a lot of new things.

“We will have a lot of content at release, but I know that players are amazing in their ability to chew through content quickly, so we want to make sure there is a constant stream of goodies coming to them.”

“The more frequently you update, the more the players like it. Players are more engaged. I think it is an issue of trust in a lot of ways. They know there is going to be a lot of new content coming in.”

Ultimately, this post-launch content will broaden The Elder Scrolls Online’s core story. Sage explained, “We’ve talked about Molag Bol stealing your soul at the start of the game, but that’s a launching point. You’ll wrap up the main story in The Elder Scrolls Online at release and that leads into an even bigger story.”

Well, it is an MMO. Though I guess it really depends on if it'll be expansion packs or console style DLC. Eh, not too interested myself so whatever :p

Well, DLC and updates are lifeline of any MMO. It's pretty obvious that Zenimax will be supporting this game after launch like any other developer. But it's always good to know that they are going to support this game, you know :)

This is good to hear. Elder Scrolls: Skyrim got it's fair share of DLC it's nice that they feel like the MMO version deserves it as well. I can only imagine how many hours people are going to log into this game.

Well, I would think content addition and refreshing/rebalancing is really the norm for MMOs, so good I guess? Now, if they are declaring full-blown expansions (not the same thing) already, I would say that's jumping the gun. Its not even a sure bet that this MMO project will be all that successful.

While co-op and multiplayer is something many fans have been asking of their Elder Scrolls games, I don't think the majority necessarily had an MMO in mind for that.

So long as it doesn't flop massively and the publishers pull the plug before they get a chance to go any further with it.

It has so much promise, I really hope it does well but there is a hell of a lot of negativity around this game at the moment. Time will tell I guess.

yes, there was a lot of negativity and rage among the gamers when an Elder Scrolls MMO was announced. We gamers are stubborn people. You don't want things to change and take a completely different route when something is going really good.

I think feel that makes the monthly fee a little more worth it, but I am still on the fence about it because of that monthly fee.

The main negativity has been that you'll have to buy the game and a subscription. Odd really.

As far as the DLC news, it's expected really. MMORPGs tend to have a steady stream of content so...
