That was supposed to be IMO but I cannot edit the post title. Keep in mind I am talking about 60 buck games. I like Resogun while fun and looks great is little more than Defender 2013 with nice graphics. Also, I am speaking about through mid January.

I just want to say I am not a NBA fan and never follow it other when Team USA is in the Olympics and I love March Madness in college but have never been able to get into NBA games and have been to several.

I bought NBA 2k14 quite simply because the launch titles I was waiting for when I had preordered on Day 1 were all pushed way out. EA released cheap crap to steal 60 bucks from people as usual.

NBA 2k14 while not screaming NextGen is one of the best sports game I have played in a long time and has a ton of depth and actually takes practice in order to become good add. The Tutorial is the most complete I have seen.

If you are on the fence, I would pull the trigger because this really is a great game coming from a non NBA fan. What I would not give for a NFL2k15 next year..

I definitely have to agree with you. I don't even pay attention to basketball in the real world, and this is one of two games I play and get tons of playing time out of. The other is Madden for me, and these two are both neck and neck in terms of playing time and enjoyment. I think that says a lot coming from a football fanatic who doesn't even care about basketball. This game is awesome so far and it was one of the best video game investments I've made in a while.

I am in the same boat with you. I feel exactly the same way and football is my game. I play Madden some and their are some improvements but it really would have been better if EA didn't rush the game to market and released a real next gen football game. I played the first Madden game which didn't even have the Raiders which was ironic considering John Madden was the coach of the Raiders. I am just Maddened out and prefer the NCAA football version myself. I just wish the NFL would stop selling the exclusive license to the NFL to Madden and let NFL2k happen again!

These ius a great game and I just posted this thread in case anyone was on the fence about the game. This is a special sports game especially for a Launch Title.

Does anyone know how the PS3 version of NBA2K compares to the PS4? I am wondering if the PS3 version is 75% as good as the PS4 version?

Yes! I totally prefer the NCAA game over Madden as well. I just don't have my PS3 anymore so Madden is my only choice. I'm very disappointed that there will not be any more NCAA football games though.

With how they made this one, I would definitely give an NFL2k game a shot over Madden. I feel like there could be so much more potential there than with EA. My only complaint is the VC system. Also, relocation, that would be nice too. :P

NCAA football is 100% dead? That sucks so bad. I would like to have just one for the PS4. I still have two PS3s but one is in the living room and is essentially a BD player and DNLA movie viewer. I had to unhook my PS3 when I added the PS4 as I only had 4 HDMI ports and the other three are in use. Plus, I have limited space. I had made the decision to move to the PS4 after Bioshock Infinite, The Last of Us, and Beyond. I have no interest in the latest Gran Turismo.

Yes. Due to the pending lawsuits by former players, EA and the NCAA both have decided they want nothing to do with any new NCAA games. They figure it will increase how much they have to shell out later on so its best to leave it as is for now. I myself would also have liked an upgrade to PS4 so I can play it there, just this last version, so I could have at least another game I love on the PS4. Finally sold my PS3 when I thought it was broken, so it would be my only option now. After the last Gran Turismo I have no interest in this one either, the last one was a big bust IMO.

Gran Turismo 2 was a great game and the replays looked fantastic back on the ps2. They have improved the graphics and added more cars but it feels like too much of the same to me. The main thing that changes on the game is that you have to pay extra for every car pack and track pack DLC. It almost is a pay to win model in some respects.

I think the developers choose realism (and DLC) over FUN. I expect a drive simulator to be fun still!

It is such a shame about NCAA Football. The NFL has screwed up the videogame industry when they gave the exclusive rights. I hope maybe 2K sports does another NFL All Starks 2K15 that just uses retired players. You have to make up your own teams but that never has bothered me.

What about the chance of NCAA Basketball from 2K sports? Is that possible? Just the tourney mode alone would make it worth the price of admission.

That seems to be the case these days. A rinse and repeat of video games. I'm glad Metal Gear and Fallout games didn't do that. Even skyrim and oblivion. Kept what made them good but changed and adapted the games to keep up with the generations.

The video games industry is very much like Hollywood where the majority of movies are remakes, sequels, and reboots. EA is the laziest as they flat out charge full price for essentially roster updates and new bugs. I is too bad more companies cant think outside the box and instead just recreate the box over and over.
