Titanfall on the PS4

I'm looking for facts, not opinions. Is Titanfall a timed exclusive, and if so has there been any mention on when it will launch on PS4 (and maybe PS3, I suppose)?

Titanfall is currently set to be released on the Xbox One and the Xbox 360. The developers say that it is exclusive on Xbox because of its cloud services. So don't keep your hopes up on this one because they have not announced any interest in releasing it for the PS 4.

I doubt it will ever come out for PS4 to be honest the devs seem so set on keeping it on xbox as i kinda noticed in the interviews i don't know about anyone else though i don't think so.

But with EA announcing they are going to make Titanfall sequels, I just can't FATHOM that Sony wouldn't fight (monetarily speaking) for the rights to that game from EA?! It all comes down to money. Then again Microsoft, unfortunately, has more money to put into stuff like this than Sony does... Idk I guess it's okay. I already ordered a PS4 and I'm confident in that decision. It's just unfortunate because no matter how pro-Sony and anti-Microsoft you are, you can't deny that Titanfall does look promising.

There is no confirmation about anything. So if you're strictly looking for facts you won't find any.

The developers have not said that it won't come to PS4 and is an exclusive. They just said they don't have the manpower currently to port it to PS4. But they also haven't said that they're currently working on a PS4 port.

So take it as you may. It can come to PS4 down the line, or if it's not successful enough, it may not.

It's only been announced for Xbox systems and PC at the moment, as far as I know. I don't doubt that we might see it on PS systems eventually, but nothing has been confirmed on the matter as of yet.

Indeed, probably timed. Highly likely it will be on PS4 down the track..there's much money in it for the dev's that way :o

Currently they are planning to rlease the game on Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. No plans for PS4 release yet.

This is scheduled for the PC, other developers have said the PS4 is the most PC-like of the consoles available. So following the logic you could say that the chances of the PS4 getting the game is actually pretty good all things considered.

I'm not really all that interested in the game. But we've seen it over and over again where companies tell you they're exclusive to one system just for things to change a year later. Ninja Gaiden 2 and Bioshock are prime examples of that. Keep in mind that EA is all about multiplatform development.

But I'm not fond of this game because it's online only.

Well, supposedly the exclusivity will be up after the first year. After that it may stay an exclusive, but Respawn Entertainment is free to port it as they like. It's honestly just up to the developer, after the first year is up.

It will most likely be xbox one only due to the developers wants to take advantage of the Dedicated Cloud servers on xbox one

I think it will follow the Mass Effect route. Although if I recall Mass Effect was not published by EA until the second game. I can't see any reason why EA would deal with exclusives, especially for a game this big and with this much hype. What if PS4 outsells Xbox One 2:1? You can bet the house it will show up.

Yeah, EA aren't big into putting all of their money into one console. They'll probably bring it over to PS4 once the contract is up, if you ask me.

It's possible. The game developers were questioned this before and they said that currently they have a deal with Microsoft but come Titanfall 2 it will most likely hit the Playstation 4. I know, you don't want to wai that long but it's probably how it's going to go down.

I don't know, i don't think i ever heard of these developers before, so anything goes. I think that a PC version would definitely be possible, and maybe later a PS4 version, if Microsoft doesn't want to take this franchise close to them.
