Tropico 5 PS4 announced for 2014 release

Tropico 5 has been confirmed for PS4. It joins a host of other formats receiving the dictatorship game at some point this year.

Eurogamer reports that while the game was already announced for PC, Mac and Xbox 360, the PS4 edition will see the Tropico series land on a Sony format for the first time. There’s still no word on the Xbox One edition however.

The site adds that Tropico 5 will feature co-op and competitive multiplayer for up to four players, as well as Dynasties, which enables players to pass their dictatorship on to their children for centuries. You can do so from the early days of colonial America, through both World Wars and up to the present.

I've always wanted to play a Tropico game, I may pick Tropico 4 up cheap for the 360 to see if i'd like it or not.

I don't think it got good reviews on the 360 at least. It's not my cup of tea, but I've always really fancied playing the new Sim city. I wonder if we'll get that on PS4??

I'd love to see Sim City on the PS4, I've actually never heard of Tropico though.

You can buy Tropico 4 for around £10/$15 second hand from most game outlets.

Tropico is an awesome game. I'm glad Tropico 5 is coming to PS4.

Sim City didn't get much love either, but that was done to the whole online thing.

I've never played Tropico. Always wanted to, but I've always had a backlist of other titles to get around to and would forget about it.
