ULTRA STREET FIGHTER IV is on it's way in 2014!

Thought Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition was the last update for the game? So did a lot of us. But it turns out Capcom are coming out with a new updated version of their highly successful fighting title! And what's more, it will be arriving on the PS3 (and Xbox 360/PC) in early 2014.

ULTRA STREET FIGHTER IV will be adding 5 new characters - Rolento, Poison, Hugo and Elena (with the 5th character still to be revealed), as well as new battlegrounds, re-balanced gamplay, brand new modes and features.

The game will be priced $40 at launch, but if you already own Super Street Fighter IV, the new additions will be available separately as DLC for $15.

Rolento. I'm sure a lot of players will love the news of his return. I used him a lot in SF: Alpha, but honestly, I never noticed his disappearance in this current version, but now that I see it, I wonder what took them so long. Also, usually, I'm not too much in favor of companies making you pay for different versions, but with Capcom, it's almost tradition and it always makes you drool so I deem it to be okay.

5 new characters, a few battle grounds and some tweaks for $15 download. A "new" Street Fighter game sold for $40 retail price. Seems like a ripoff to me. I would rather purchase a Super Street Fighter 4 at Amazon for $14 at Amazon then get the DLC for $15. It would be much cheaper.

To Capcom, the king of milking has returned!

How many versions of the same game is that now? 4? 5? Never mind Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen which had to be DLC.

Might be a decent game, but why isn't it DLC?

I don't get why Dragon's Dogma had to be a physical disc of the same game WITH a second disc that is only used to install the new content. That made no sense. Why it couldn't be bundled into one disc is a wonder to me, much less why they couldn't just make it a digital download separate. To re-purchase the same vanilla game was an unpleasant surprise, and I am disappointed in Capcom for this distribution choice. Don't get me wrong, DD is an awesome game and I highly recommend it, and getting the Dark Arisen version if you haven't already bought it.

In regards to Street Fighter, I'm glad for the update, and making it a DLC option is good. I would hate to need to buy it again to get the new content like Marvel Vs Capcom 3. The total content is worth $15 in my book, so I'll be enjoying it when it comes out.
