Us ps4 in india?

hey everyone... I am in a big dilemma, I went to a Best buy here in states and I was told by sales representative that the ps4 is region locked and I would not be able to use it in India... means I have to purchase and import games from USA to play them on my ps4.

kindly suggest... its urgent

I don't know if it works or not, but maybe when your back in India, set up a user account linked to a US region and buy games digitally ??? Don't quote me on that as i don't know if that would work anyway.
