USA Players VS European players possible online?

My question is if in PS4 the online mode is for all the world or the europeans only can play with europeans , USA players with USA players and etc.. ?

For me that is very importante because in ps2 for example i only can play with european people, and because of that i buy xbox 360 and not ps3, because in xbox i can play with all the world online.

For example in gta4 online a few years after the game release my brother(that have ps3) dont have enough players to play with him, because he only can play with european players, and in my case in the same time i have a lot of players to play against, and the most part of them are americans because americans are the guys that play more gta4 and that play more online.

I already know that PS4 will not be region locked, that is good, but that dont mean that the online mode is open to all the world.

For example PS3 was region unlocked, but the online mode was locked for regions.

My choose is simple, if PS4 is online locked i buy the XBOX ONE if it isnt i buy PS4

It is possible where lobbies are included.

In games with dedicated servers, you may connect to another region's server but the ping would be atrocious but then again, there is no competitive gaming on consoles so it won't matter much.

You will be fine.

I don't see why that would not be possible seeing how you play people from across the world all the time. I don't think countries affect how you can play video games. I think as long as you have online capabilities, you will be able to play anyone online.

I think that developers have figured out that they can create individualized experiences while still sticking with team objectives and are really perfecting it along the way. I think Borderlands 2 is one example. Everyone can interact with loot, they can setup their own weapons and characters and then they can go about and do their thing. Saints Row is another game that has a slightly different system. You have your own objectives and missions and can play through them with friends or by yourself. Its a game that holds onto your experiences while letting you do whatever you want with friends.

All that's left is connecting those pieces of people across the world and I think its been working with things like Skype and even Chat Roulette. It should be all a connection issue now.
