What superhero do you want to see a game made about?

Rocketman

So we've recently got Lego Marvel and another Arkham game. It seems like other than Batman, no other mainstream comic book superhero seems to be able to pull off their own game this gen. After playing Saints Row IV, I'm thinking that a game about the Flash is possible and might even be good.

I think that Iceman from X-Men could star in his own video game. I can easily see freezing stuff turning into a fun gaming mechanic. Everyone does love Sub Zero after all.

I thought the X-men: Legends series was very well built, with interactive environments and a great system of leveling up. Combo specials were also very fun. If anything, I would love to see a modernized return to that game franchise, as I see a lot of potential with current-gen graphics and advanced game mechanics.

Maybe Green Arrow, since he doesn't have super powers and it could be more along the lines of the Arkham games. In terms of gameplay, it may be a bit like Fable where you could use a sword (except Green Arrow would use a dagger or just his fists) or a bow. Plus, you could collect different kinds of arrows or even mod them along the lines of lightsabers in the Knights of the Old Republic games. That would be sweet.

A well made Captain America would be awesome, and wouldnt be too far from a Battlefield type game but with comic book characters and less guns. Captain America is actually a gun whiz too isnt he?

I think it would be great if a trippy game based around Animal Man would be made. If a developer could do for Animal Man what Rocksteady did for Batman, it would be one of the most unique games ever.

I'm not sure about the comics, but he's seen using guns a bit in the first movie (and a little in the Avengers). I would ***ume a Captain America game would follow the movies' storylines to some degree, at least if they wanted to appeal to a larger audience. I think there's strong potential for something along the lines of Halo where there's one strong super soldier leader and regular foot soldiers as backup.

edit: What's with the censorship and messed up formatting?

I like X-men most of all, or even some of the lesser known Marvel groups like X-Force or Alpha Flight, really. I never even read any comic books from those titles, to be honest, but the characters seem interesting enough to look at. Not to mention it would probably cost less to make because they aren't all that famous, if it even works like that. I was also very pleased with Marvel Ultimate Alliance, and that contains pretty much all the popular characters, so I'd be happy to just see more of that.

A sandbox game with a lot of the above-mention superheroes would be fantastic. Imagine a GTA V-type X-Men where you switch back and forth between characters as you will, using different powers on different missions. I'd buy that in a heartbeat.

I would like a villain based game. Maybe something along the lines of ultimate alliance with playable villains. In particular I would like to play as Red Skull.

Yea I've noticed that as well. Guess we really cant mention ***emblies or har***ment.

I do agree that a game would need to follow the movie story line to sell better, especially among the power buyers, aka moms who buy for their kids. It would still need to be well made and gritty enough for serious gamers though.

None because they all turn out terrible IMO. They are either boring third person fighters where the hero walks around like a stiff robot because they're all built on the same crappy engine, or they are overdo it storyline and turn it into a game that's more about the quests than the character.

That is fair. There seems to be an issue with making legitimately good superhero games. The Arkham series is supposed to be great though. I haven't played them myself to find out though.

Sure, bud. The Rocksteady Batman games don't come close to being objectively bad, let alone terrible.

I would love to see a game all about Lobo. The history. The debauchery. The murderous loveable nature of his character. There is so much to that story that can be easily translated into a game I am surprised it has yet to be. The easy approach would be a fighting game. Absolutely not. This should be a history of the character centric game. Approach it in a GoW way and how could that not make money???

I know this is still sticking with the whole Batman thing but I would honestly love to see some varied stuff with him and the others in alternate versions. I'm thinking maybe Bloodstorm or the Moscow (Ravil) because they have interesting stories and incredible enemies.

I know this is going to seem kind of campy and ooooold, but I'd love some games about Hong Kong Fooey. I know he's technically not a "super hero" in the same vein as Marvel and DC are concerned, but I've maintained my love and support for the wacky cartoon and want to see him revisited in some way shape or form.

Spawn (my favorite comic book character). I mean a good one. Don't know how it would be done, but...try. The Astro City comics would be the best series for an open world, introduce-your-own-hero game as it's basically a city of heroes with a concrete timeline (unlike some of the more popular series where there's multiple universes, reboots, etc.)
