What's your opinion of Thief?

What do you guys think about the game thief? I haven't played it so I was wondering what someones thoughta are on it that have played it. I'm usually into these kind of games but how are the graphics? I'm pretty big on story in games, what would you rate the story on a scale of 1-10?

I've done some research into the game and for the most part a like what I see. I'm just unsure if I should fork out 60 bucks for it. I'd like to get some honest opinions, thanks.

It's pretty similar to many other games that are out there. So in that respect, it's nothing new, it however look amazing with spot on graphics. I would never pay 60 bucks for a video game ever. I have groceries to buy. Wait till the price comes down and buy it second hand.

It looks pretty cool, but I've heard if you're into games with a choice between stealthy and guns blazing, this may not be for you. It kind of leans heavy on the stealth side. It looks a lot like it's trying to channel Assassin's Creed.

yea except assassins creed released 9 years after the FIRST thief game and the most recent RELEASED game is still 3 years older than the OLDEST assassins creed game.

I know theres a new one releasing 2014. I have the option of getting it for free since i bought a radeon 7970, but im not sure if i want it just yet.

It's another DmC, Hitman, Splinter Cell, Deus Ex... you get the point. They picked a game and thought "to hell with the fans, what we need is to sell this to a broader audience" so they picked everything you loved about the series and threw it out of the window. Who has time to explore the level so that you can create your own way of going through it, i want to press X and i want to see an animation of the dude jumping through the window dramatically, because that is what sells!
