Will The PS4 Have a Large enough internal HDD?

One of my biggest regrets with the xbox 360 was that I got the cheapest one and it doesn't have enough hard drive space to install games and new content.

I'm literally stuck unable to download any new content for BF3 because I don't have the space! No HD content for me :(

Will the PS4 have this problem?

Well with the huge downloads and installs we have been hearing about and with a life spawn of at least 6 years it will just be a matter of time until you need to upgrade your HDD, so do it as soon as possible so you don't need to delete stuff in the future. At least this what I'm planing to do, just do it when I first get the console and then not having to worry about it for a long long time, hopefully never.

I think the PS4 will have enough space for the most part. If you use your console to download a lot of other content like videos, music, etc., then you'd probably need to upgrade the storage.

Im pretty sure there will be plenty of storage, at least to start with. Eventually it will get filled, but by then the companies will release larger hard drives. I just hope they release a better Hard drive migration method instead of corrupting all of your files!

I'm sure they will make additional memory for you to buy. Just like the 360 has additional hard drives and memory cards you can buy so you can download whatever you want. You are not stuck not being able to download stuff you need to go buy more memory so you can. You have to remember that to Sony and Microsoft both it's all about making money. They are going to do whatever they need to do to make you buy more product they put out!

That's something they should have advertised from the beginning.

Like: "Yeah this xbox only costs 200 bucks but without an additional hard drive it's damn near useless."

I am pretty sure the Playstation 4 will feature plenty of Hard Drive Space. Playstation usually does a great job at making sure you get the necessities for your money, because there is no reason to buy something if your not getting your money's worth. I mean you have to look at the history of the Playstation, because it has always had a high volume of space for the hard drive.

I personally believe that they will equip the PS4 with a large enough hard drive to accomodate most people, but at the end of the day, I think the longevity of the HDD will be dependent on the prudent management of space. I mean, anyone will run out of space over time if they never delete anything and keep saving game information and downloading content. It's inevitable. But, if you delete the stuff you don't need or want anymore, your HDD space will last you a lifetime.

I'm in the crowd that runs out of space quickly. I'm sure it'll be fine. Something to worry about later. The joys of the ps3, just buy one and swap it out.

I just read that external HDs aren't allowed, but you will be able to swap the internal ones, so yeah you probably can get a big enough sized drive at the gate if you chose to. I'm still perplexed as to why they would disallow external HD's though. I feel it has something to do with piracy, but if it's true then I still think it's a pretty silly way to go about it.

If game instals are around the 50 gig mark then 9 games would be the most if we are really lucky. I have been looking around and (for a reasonable price) 1TB seems to be the biggest I can find. I think I will keep the 500 gig as long as I can and hopefully when it's time to upgrade there will be more options.

HDD space has never been a problem to me, I've never run out of it.
I don't usually buy digital, only physical, and I use my console just for games, no films, music, etc, so I'm guessing that with PS4 the problem won't be there too.
