Will you be addicted to PS4?

For every PlayStation that has ever been released, I get addicted for at least a few months whereby I spend far too long on games. I do eventually wean off it a bit though and play for less hours, but any new console to me is instantly addicting, I can imagine PS4 is going to be the next addiction!

Probably for the first couple weeks when I purchase it, but my gaming addiction is slowly dying off so might end up just playing it every now and then afterwards. I guess we'll see.

That is one of the reasons for me to wait it out, so that more titles come out and i can just play it nonstop when i get it. Maybe one of my friends will get it at launch, so i can always try at his house.

Like I said in a previous thread, I probably will play for about a week or so, and then stop. Unless the features are great, and keeps me entertained, I don't think I would be playing everyday.

No. I don't allow myself to get addicted to games and things of that nature. I'll play if a lot of course when I first get it but that'll subside, eventually.

I suppose I could see myself being more obsessed with the PS4 than the Xbox One, simply based on the information we have about each right now. I've historically favored Xbox over PlayStation, but my opinion of the new consoles has flipped my general attitude on the matter. That said, I don't see myself buying a PS4 (or an Xbox One) until a ways down the road when it goes down in price, or at least has a better selection of games.

I agree, I'm also not going to be buying a next gen console until they come down in price. It's interesting that you are sided more with PS4 even though you've been touted for the Xbox in the past. I really think that PS4 is going to win this 'war' I have not heard many people siding with the Xbox, and I'm hearing more fans of Xbox saying they will be buying a PS4.

Yes, I predict that I will, although not until much later into its existence in the market. It takes me a while to get accustomed to the new things surrounding a new console, plus I usually get addicted with games that are released later on since those tend to be more well developed and more in-sync with the hardware and its capabilities - albeit only slightly, in my opinion.

Obsessed is something that you grow out of though no? When I was little, I was obsessed with video games and would play for hours without eating or drinking anything. Nowadays, I would feel silly sitting in front of a game screen and my big screen t.v. without having at least a break or a snack.
