Will you carry on playing PS3 games after the PS4 comes out?

I don't think I will be all that much to be honest. I don't have an awful lot of time to spend playing games, and I would rather spend it on something new and fresh so I would rather play on the PS4 or my PC. I think I might come back to the PS3 every now and then for the sake of novelty, but I won't be using it as a full time gaming device. What about you guys?

I think I will for about a year switching it up between the PS3 and PS4, mainly because I will be trying to finish my huge backlog of games on the PS3. After that, I reckon the PS3 will collect some dust while the PS4 gets a workout!

There are tons of PS3 games to be played so I don't think I'll abandon my love for a while. I won't be getting a PS4 really soon so I don't really have a choice. But even if I do get my hands on a PS4, it'll be sitting next to my PS3.

That post on that forum is from asianboi2252,which is the same name he goes by here.I guess he liked Mezda's post so much he decided to 'copy' it.
Curious why he just didnt reword it. I dont think its wrong entirely but defo lazy and a little cheeky.

My suggestion to asianboi2252 or anyone is if they copy work,posts,info etc at least give credits and a maybe a link,I mean we all do with PS4 news etc so we should do with people's posts as well.

I was thinking of selling mine but i heard GTA: V is coming to it so i said i'm not but probably i don't see why not i have a few decent games on there like MW2 (if it still has players when it comes out), MW3, BO2, and Borderlands all pretty good games.

Highly unlikely i will, apart from the casual retro gaming feel. Apart from that, I usually let old games fall by the wayside.

Well, I don't expect to get a PS4 at launch so probably. Having said that, if I do get a PS4 there are a number of games that I would like to replay, like Catherine and Rayman Origins so so I will definitely be keeping them around to re-experience.

Just all my other consoles. Also, it will be a while until i get the PS4, so i hope that some new games come out on the PS3 during that time. Maybe catch up with a few titles that i missed or replaying some, i think this one still has a lot to give.

I honestly don't see why I wouldn't stop. Surely, there are going to be some games releasing for the PS3 even when the PS4 gets released. I also tend to keep older consoles so I can play them in the future just for nostalgic purposes. Also, if I don't have any games left to play for the PS4, I may switch around and play on the PS3 when I get bored since their library is pretty much a lot bigger than the newly released console.

I probably won't play them as much. I still have a small collection of games I would like to beat as far as PS3 games go, however I just don't see myself buying a whole lot of new games between now and then. Ratchet and Clank: Into the Nexus is probably the last one I will play. Other than that, everything else I own I have already beat and very few PS3 games seem to have any replay value these days. Or perhaps I am just much busier with real life to spend time replaying games these days. Either way, once I usually beat a game I am done with it until something new comes out. Occasionally I will replay to see an additional ending if the game itself goes by quickly. I replayed Catherine several times just to see a few of the endings with that game.

If I do happen to go back to any one game on PS3 to replay it would probably end up being Heavy Rain. I loved everything about that game and I still have not seen all the possible endings. That may be a game I pick up every now and again while in between games to play around with. Early PS4 release there may not be a whole lot of games I am interested in for PS4, and that will probably be the most I will spend with my PS3.

Definitely. Just like with all my other systems.
I always go back to some old favorites or catch up on titles I missed during their initial release, so I don't think I'll ever get rid of a previously owned system.

I will more than likely keep most of my great games on Playstation 3. Although I highly doubt I will keep playing them after purchasing a Playstation 4.
