Your first gaming console

Which was the first gaming console that you had ever played a game on? The first one I had ever bought was the classis Sega Genesis. Having played the SNES as well, I think the Genesis was a better console. Its immense library of games like Contra, Double Dragon, Duke Nuke em, PacMania, Road Rash meant that a lot of time was spent on it. To top that was slightly cheaper than its competitor SNES here in India and ended up being sold more.

I stopped using it once PS-2 came into the picture. PS2 was a step-up of epic proportions from the cartridge games and my Genesis was forgotten afterwards.

So which was the first gaming console you had ever bought/played?

My fist ever gaming console was a PS1. My dad bought it for me back in 2001 when I was 8 years old. I have some really amazing memories attached to that console.

I had an atari but I hardly remember anything about it besides the tank fighting game and hangman. I was so young that that time period has gotten really fuzzy nowadays. After Atari I had NES with Mario and Duckhunt. I was so addicted to those two games. Everyone on my street wanted to come over to play both of the games. I was so popular back then!

My very first was a Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). I played the heck out of that when I was young. I had a little basket that was filled with NES carts. I still remember a lot of the games that I had.

I use to own a few consoles that ran on cartridges, dont remember which ones i owned, was too long ago. Its showing my age though.

My first game was Super Mario Bros.

I had the perfect upbringing in terms of my experience with gaming. I got to experience it all, minus the original crash. While this does skew my perspective on certain things, I feel like it also gives me a nice, rounded appreciation for both retro gaming and new age gaming.

Played Sonic The Hedgehog at my cousins house, but when i got mine it came with that cartridge with 3 games (with Super hang-on being my favorite), but then i got Sonic & Knuckles, which was awesome at the time!

But then I had the Nintendo 64. That's what started me on my journey into gaming. Mario Kart 64 and GoldenEye 64. Ah those were the days...

My first console was the PS1. It felt amazing when I first got it. I played it everyday and I was essentially hooked on the system. I had a great collection of games for it so it was only inevitable that I would get hooked the way I did.

Nintendo.seems to be popular, but my first console was a Texas Instruments. I loved playing space invaders.

Sega Genesis was the first console I ever played on. We had a bevy of selections at home, including Mortal Kombat, Outrun, X-men, Sonic, Shinobi. It was the console of my early childhood, and it was the N64 that succeeded it with its 3 dimensional gaming.

I feel ashamed for not even having heard of the Arcadia. This console is older than I am.

I never heard of the Arcadia either and I grew up in the eighties. I probably just forgot about it, I mean it was a long time ago. I like how game consoles are evolving, but I would like to go back now and then and play some of the classic games I loved to play so much.

First thing I had was probably the SNES because I remember going to school and bringing games so that my friends and I could borrow each other's. Really enjoyed playing it but once I ended up getting the PS1 and the Nintendo 64 later on I basically just stopped playing it because they were both so much more fun in my opinion.

I remember when my parents got my brother and I an SNES for Christmas. That was one of the best gifts we've received to date. We had countless hours of fun playing together with games such as Mortal Kombat. It's sad to say that it doesn't work anymore.

My first one was the NES, but it wasn't really mine as much as it was my older brother's. I might have been too young to enjoy anything other than Mario and Tetris on it. I consider my Genesis to have been my first official one, since I played on it way more than my brother, and I got to know a lot more of its video games than I ever did with the NES. I think I preferred it because it wasn't putting out cute games like Nintendo was, and instead we got to see a bit more mature characters and gameplay.

I remember after the Texas Instruments we got a Nintendo for Christmas. We were so excited and we played Super Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt until we broke the gun and the controller. Hey what can I say we were kids.
