Your first gaming console

My first gaming console was a cheap famicom that my dad bought for me in 2004. I remember buying a cartridge which had 999 in 1 written on it. I was so excited to play because I was so overwhelmed with the number of games it had. Needless to say, when I popped the cartridge on the console, I was really disappointed.

My first gaming console was a Sega Genesis. I got it second hand from my uncle on Christmas. I was so excited to get it. He had all of the sonic games, so I was set for games.

Almost forgot about Sonic. Heck I think all those Sonic games were the reason I got the Genesis in the first place. That and because it was cheaper than the SNES.

As for me, my first gaming console was Atari 2600. By then I was only 6 and I loved the NES console so much that I could rent it nearly each day. I think it was becoming too expensive for my parents and they just bought it for me at 7. I with time bought myself the Nintendo 64, PlayStation, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation 3 some of which I have stored up to date.

My first gaming console was the Playstation1, my dad brought it for Christmas!
Me and my brother got really happy, and proceeded to play it all the day, we had this football game (Winning Eleven?) and we were always playing against the other.
Great times. :)

My first console was my dad's NES and gameboy. The only games I remember playing on it are any of the Mario games and Battletoads. After that I've owned nearly every console/handheld at one point or another, including sega's handheld console and sega-cd and saturn. I was more of a sega kid but played plenty of nintendo as well.

My first console was the PS1. I remember coming home one day to find it in my room along with a large stack of games.

My first console had to be the NES, but it wasn't truly mine. I'm going to say the Gameboy. Technically not a console so it may not count, but it was MY first gaming system. Strictly console though....the N64. Not too shabby though huh?

No mic, but there's plenty of times I wish I had one while playing GTA V. So I could explain to the person I'm playing a mission with that I don't want to get in their car, so stop shooting at me.

The very first i played would have been the NES.

The first i ever OWNED and bought myself was a Dreamcast. Until then i had always borrowed consoles from friends or gone to their house to play them.

The first system I bought when I moved out of my parents was a NES. The first system in our house as a kid was Pong.

Master System was my first one.

Hanimex 2650 or Emerson Acradia as it was know in other countries.
Think I got it around 1982-1984.

You're sagely.

My fist gaming console was SNES. My mother present this on my birthday when I was a school going boy. It was interesting but now it is old. Now I just use my laptop for gaming because I just play games during travel.

We had an atari as well as ColecoVision.. Granted, now you can even buy an atari from amazon.. Not sure about ColecoVision..

My first console was a MegaDrive! I wanted a GameBoy but my brother must have spoken to my mum and said to get the MegaDrive. What a surprise I had, really liked the MD, Robocop vs Terminator was the best game. Sonic was alright..

I would say GameBoy counts.

My first console me and my brother got was an NES. First one I got that was truly mine and not shared at all was a PS2. Got the launch PS2 for Christmas (mom drove around all over to find it and finally found the very last one in the store). It broke and I still have it. Holds a certain sentimental value. Sits proudly as a decoration within my game collection.

On a sidenote, I think this topic is perfect for a poll. Just saying :)

My first console was the Atari 2600.

Pacman, Space Invaders and Q*bert were my top games back in the day
