PS4 Uk download sizes confirmed

This is ridiculous. EU always gets prices like this because most companies think 1 USD = 1 Euro, and we all know that's not true.
Not only that but they're paying full price for digital games. This really sucks.

Jeez some of those file sizes are huge. I hate how some ISPs here are starting to put a bandwidth cap on how much data we can use per month. With more and more technologies going digital, we need the opposite happening. I like that speeds are increasing a lot, but having a cap every month is going to be a severe problem in the future.

I switched ISP's some time ago and boy, glad I did,I have an unlimited plan now only trouble is,speeds are crap,at least for me.No cable here at all,ADSL2+ but even then Im sub par speed..still waiting for the NBN (Australia's new National Broadband Network plan) to be set up and it this rate Ill be lucky to have it in 2 years now.

I still enjoy physical copies, but if I chose to download then the sizes would give me pause if I didn't have a great connection. Still it only reaffirms to me that if you're going digital then getting more space on the HDD is something that might be a priority if these are the sizes of the games. Still those prices are out of bounds.

I cannot really think of any reasons for a disparity between the sizes of these games from area to area, but many of those prices are outrageous and makes me quite content that I do not live in the UK. It is only a matter of currency, to be honest, and compared to the US or Canada, it will always be a little more expensive. There are other costs to take into consideration when shipping products overseas, however, so there is one reason they could use. Furthermore, there is the cost of their servers to consider. The capability to download these games digitally now is great, but keep in mind that it is still fairly new. They are going in the right direction, but it may not be very useful until maybe five or ten years down the road where the appropriate hardware to better manage the masses is available and the connections are cheaper.

The sizes doesn't bother me like many people stated, the problem is the prices that make no sense to me. Maybe it's because of the currency but seriously that is ridiculous, I can't believe that the exchange rate is the only reason for why they are selling the games at these prices.

I personally think the USA makes our prices look quite steep downloads wise. I mean the USA is something around $60-$70 Dollars which translates into something like £40 here but obviously we have a higher rate. I'm quite surprised and this is the exact reason I never download, no only does it take up more space but it also costs a good £10-£15 more, sometimes even more than that. I generally shop at Asda or Tesco for my games as I'm not into collectables and if I do get a special edition I'll order online from a reasonable retailer that charges a good retail price.

These aren't very tempting prices. I wonder how soon our hard-drives will fill up considering these file sizes. Who knows, maybe upgrades are soon to be seen.

The sizes are a bit disconcerting but again it's the prices that boggle my mind. However it does show that 500gb isn't going to be enough space to hold all those games over the lifetime of the PS4. You'll definitely have to consider replacing the hard drive but my understanding is that it's pretty easy to do on the PS4.
