PS4 vs. Xbox One - The Ultimate Showdown!!!

I own both xbox one and Ps4. My family gave me every exclusive and 3rd party games and I dont really enjoy indies. The launch games for ps4 my Knack and Killzone made me feel frustrated and resogun was meh. Were are the good exclusives? March? My Xboxone has been getting all my attention now because of its launch titles and game add ons. Im having so much fun lately. To Sony u said its for gamers but theirs no games? Sony listen to me im very disappointed with my ps4 and now since Ive got Xboxone its getting dusty. Why didnt u wait to realease good games before the system is out? Please forgive me everybody Ive been Playstation since the first one was realeased. I do love Sony. But natiave 1080p on my 50 tv how is it suffering framedrops and lag? Even my poc wii u doenst lose framerate. Im going to keep it till e32014 to see what games are coming out and then watch the reviews. Sorry for the fanboysm Im just disappointed.

I have both the PS4 and XBOX1. When a game comes out for both systems I'll buy the PS4 Version. Xbox1 does have some good exclusives 2 look forward 2 tho.

Lol, are both the systems connected to the same tv? I have both systems right next to the WIFI and both work great, also i do find my self dusting both systems like every 2 days

I've always been a Playstation fan over the Xbox. It seems like Microsoft is trying to take things over as usual and overpricing their products as well. That's why I've never bought an Xbox since the original, I basically just wanted to try it out and I hated it. I think Playstation is a lot better than Xbox as far as online gaming is concerned too. I mean why pay to play online with Xbox when you can go online for free with Playstation? I know there are a lot more people on Xbox Live but I think that will change in the future.

PS4 's GDDR5 is way better than Xbox One's GDDR3

This is not entirely fair. They PS4 does have 8GB of GDDR5 while the Xbox one has 8GB of GDDR3. However, the Xbox One does have 32MB of eSRAM which helps make the bandwidth much closer. The PS4 definitely has a advantage with the faster GPU and Faster GDDR RAM but it is not a big enough difference from keeping great games being released on the Xbone.

It is all about the software exclusives but as always, Sony's console has more power and I would expect the developers to be able to optimize their coding to get more out of the PS4'ssuperior hardware as time goes by and developers figure out how to tweak the systems.

Yep. It's all about time, and the devs. The PS3 has crappy architecture, but some devs (like Naughty Dog) shaped it into something great. So who knows?

It's not even a competition. The PlayStation 4 Is the best game console thus far. The xbox has improved the graphics but still the PlayStation is the better game console to purchase.

When it comes to picking a console it all comes down to the exclusives and Sony has in my opinion the best 1st party line-up of the industry. Microsoft shuts down most of its 1st party studios and doesn't have many games that interest me, so the choice was pretty clear. Titanfall is definitely not enough to win me over.

Sony is just offering me more of what I want gamewise. I might have considered getting an Xbox One for things like project Spark and Titanfall, but I just got a new computer for Windows 8 and from what I'm hearing Titanfall is majorly overhyped. I think I made the right choice for myself at this point. Maybe when the price goes down I'll consider buying the One.

You are kidding right? The PS3 had the most advanced architecture of anything released when it came out. The Department of Defense bought tens of thousands of PS3 to use to crack codes as it has the most advanced architecture of anything.

The PS3 was not easy to program for and developers had to learn how to get the power out of the Cell processors but it sure did create some amazing games once developers figured it out.

The PS4 on the other hand has by far the best specs of this gens consoles but it is only about the power of a low to mid range PC. I liked that the PS3 was very unique in it's architecture.

The PS4 is superior : it comes at a more accessible price, it has better components and performances, it can be full HD and the exclusives are great right now and I'm having a lot of fun with them.

Definitely ps4! What I like most about ps4 is its controller, the touch pad make the whole gaming experience breathtaking. Also ps4 cheaper than Xbox one.

As someone who recently bought an XBox One 5 days ago, I must say I feel duped. I owned a PS2 way back when ditched Sony for Microsoft simply because it was an American company. With this generation of consoles I have seen the error of my ways and I can't believe the decisions that Microsoft is making with this console. I've always liked PS3 and missed out on all of the God of Wars, Metal Gears, and others. Hopefully if I am able to sell this giant VCR to some fanboy, I will come back to PlayStation. I don't care about apps or tv service or whatever else Microsoft is toting. I simply want to get back to games and it seems these to do.panties are drawing lines in the sand and I'm on the wrong side. So rejoice PS4 owners! You aren't missing out on anything.

Infamous validated my purchase of a PS4. That game is one of the best I have played in a long time. I hope they extend the story with dlc.

I have also played Titanfall, and it was fun, but its not a system seller.

I think I would go for a PS4. Not saying that Xbox One is bad, I mean I LOVE Titanfall. But console wise, according to price and specs, I think the PS4 wins this round.

Agree with you there.

At release the PS4 was £80 cheaper, didn't force kinnect on you, better graphics card and way faster 8GB DDR5 RAM vs 8GB DDR3 RAM on Xbone.

As someone who never bought into the Wii the camera and motion sensing gameplay don't interest me in the slightest it was an easy choice to go PS4.

We get better value from PSN+ than Live Gold and have a wide variety of indie games as well as a few better versions of multi-platform AAA games (Battlefield, Tombraider, Assassins Creed).

I also think the new DS4's are amazing and way more comfy than DS3.

The games will ultimately make the machine but it's very amusing that MS have taken Sony's role this gen and tried to offer a jack of all trades machine (more difficult to program for due to RAM speed) whereas Sony has focussed on the games.

Games win it for me as I have Sky for TV downstairs and a SMART TV - why would I want to watch stuff on my smaller TV set up in my gaming room?

MS have reduced the price and hyped Titanfall to the ends of the world which may help a little but I think 12-18 months the PS4 will be miles ahead due to it's better hardware and more simplistic design combined with more devs working on PS games.

I think the PS4 is better hands down, it has better games, lower price and if the previous console generation is anything to go by, a better service overall.
I think PS4 will have much better exclusive, sure the Xbox One has Titanfall, but I can play that on my PC.

Actually, Titanfall isn't that good as everybody says it is. Also, the PS4 has a lot more better exclusives that are worth playing. I think it's simply superior and will stay like that for a few years!
