Anyone play a lot of sports games?

The last time I played sports games, it was around 1996 and I'm pretty sure it was some iteration of NHL on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Since then, no. The closest I've got is that Mario Strikers game on the Wii which was a lot of fun. Oh, and Wii Sports, if that counts? Hahaha.

That being said, I'm always surprised by the amount of used sports games when I walk into an Electronics Boutique. It's just ridiculous, and yet, these games keep getting pumped out. So I'm assuming the folks who play these games (I don't know of many - maybe 2 or 3) must just always want to be on the cutting edge of the year, with the correct players? What is the draw there!?

I play a lot of sports games, mostly MBA and NFL type games. I really like them, I would always reccomend the Madden Franchise games which are always good. Also I am a fan of Blitz, if you are looking for a more intense version of an American football game. All of the FIFA games are pretty solid. As far as snowboarding games I'm unsure, I haven't really played many of those.

No i don't personally play sport games.I am also not even a fan of gaming. But in most cases when I feel bored I love playing video games. They seem to capture my attention due to the video gaming platforms and the enjoyment that comes with the gaming experience.

Nope, not a big fan of sports games. I hate those annualized franchise with so little improvement, but surprisingly, people pounce on each edition.

I don't even like watching sports in real life, not really my thing. I'd rather much playing games with some real gameplay/story.

Sports games...eh...

It's not that I don't like them...I like playing them with friends but not so much that I'd want to invest say £40. Me and my friends still come round to my house and play Fifa 10 so yeah...I like them but I can't say I feel the need to invest in them.

I used to but got tired of them seeming the same all of the time. With the sports games its harder to come up with new material that will allow the game to seem new and fresh.

I play a lot with my friends. Fifa, PES (yes both) NBA2K, Top Spin etc. Sports games are super fun with friends. Although I don't really see the point of playing them alone. I rarely play online I don't enjoy online experience on console.

I used to but they really stopped being fun and started getting kind of stale. I played the earlier versions of Madden but stopped a few years ago - no matter how you wrap up a dead horse it is still a dead horse.

The only sports games that I really spend a lot of time playing are the NBA 2k games. Honestly I am not a fan of sports games but when I began playing NBA 2k games I became really hooked to them and now they are the only games that I sit down to play.

I only really enjoy sports games if I follow the actually sport. My favorite sports game is FIFA, but even with that I do find it very repetitive when compared to an action type of game. I find that I generally play in bursts a few times throughout the year.

i love me some football. so im a fifa gamerhead. been playing fia since ps2 days.
I'm not too much into sport games, but I do have fond memories of playing Fifa and NHL on ps2 when I was a kid. I guess the games would be more interesting if I actually followed sports.

I don't even like watching sports, so the sports games are basically dead to me. The exceptions are the ridiculous arcade games like Mario Strikers and NBA Jam, now THOSE are fun as hell!

Madden, all day, everyday. But in truth I've probably played more NCAA Football than Madden simply because of customization options. Ever since 2k released NBA 2k11 it's been hard not to play that franchise as well, so much fun!

I play a lot of sports game. Either football, soccer, baseball, tennis, golf, or etc. As long as it is fun and interesting to me I will play it.

I used to play a lot of sports games. I think that after a while they became boring to me. I tried playing the UFC and WWE as well as tennis games, but I like watching the sports games a lot better than playing them. I actually will play with the eye though for exercise.

I Play Fifa and NBA there is a certain type of enjoyment that I get from playing a good sports game right, its not so much adrenaline focuses like COD or BF4 but its engaging in a different way
