Biggest Disappointment?

Sometimes you get super excited for a PS3 game, and then it just is nowhere near your expectations. Sometimes it can even be the other way around. Maybe you heard some really amazing reviews about the game, so you buy it, and bang, you're pissed. Nowhere near the quality that you've expected. That's probably why so many people rent games from time to time.

Star Trek: The Video Game.

I love Star Trek. I really do. And even though I heard the games was mediocre, I still went out of my way to give it a go. Sadly, it was pretty darn disappointing and just bland. Which is a pit as it had such potential. Heck, they even delayed the game to give it more "polish" but I guess they decided to do something else during that time. The only positive was the voice acting was great.

I would have to say Twisted Metal.
Loved the series back then and was hyped for the reboot as i am rarely am, but ended up with a game that failed to meet my expectations and with a dead multiplayer after a couple of weeks. Oh well, next time they will get it better, i guess...

Dragon Age 2. I loved Dragon Age: Origin so much, and played it multiple times. There were so many things that could have been polished for the sequel, and when it came out I was shocked. They changed the art design, made the level design so much worse, lowered all customization, redesigned the art for a few major characters for no reason, limited choices, and had awful combat mechanics. I did like how they sped up the combat pace, and cleaned up the menu UI, but everything else was such a massive step back.

It would have been a better game had it NOT been called Dragon Age 2. It was a fun game in its own way, but an awful sequel.

I'd say for me, it would have to X-Men Destiny. When the game was first revealed I was really hyped about it, as I always felt like there should be an X-Men game where you are an original character fighting alonsige the X-Men. Then, when the game was finally released, I realized how much of a disappointment it was. Hopefully, someone will try there hand at
another X-Men game and make it much better than this one.

Sonic and Sega: All Stars Racing was probably my biggest disappointment as I've been a fan of kart racer for years (Mario Kart, Diddy Kong Racing, etc) but I felt this gam was terribly underwhelming. At least it was only a bargain bin title.

I haven't really been 'blown away' by anything that I wasn't expecting to be blown away from. :P

Damn. I must be the only one who loved it :(

My biggest disappointment on the PS3 was Final Fantasy XIII. That was one of the games I had purchased my PS3 for, and I skipped school to buy it, day one. I was really impressed with the visuals, and the opening scenes were great, but after a few hours of gameplay, the linearity got stagnant. Then going on internet forums, where many people were complaining of the same constriction in exploration, it was pretty disheartening. I put about 20 hours into it, and I haven't gone back to it since then.
