Do You Play Sports Video Games?

Same here Razor, I stick to NFL games, but I get them every year. At this point I know it's pointless and it's a habit I'd like to break, but I see a Madden game and I have to get it.

Yeah, my friends and I always play NBA Live, and we still do up to this day, just not that much. The most memorable sports game we've ever played was NBA 2K9 for the PS2 and we had a crap ton of fun plyaying it. We would make up rules for the game like 'Dunk Only Game' or '3 Point Only Game' or the 'Try and Dunk at the Free Throw Line' or the 'Million Dollar Shot Game' it was a lot of fun.

I sure do! NBA 2k is probably my go-to choice for a sports game. These are some of the best types of games to play with my casual gamer buddies and it really leads to some heated "discussions" aka arguments. I used to play quite a bit of Madden, too. However, that game has really fallen off a cliff in recent years, due to EA becoming a bit lazy in my opinion.

I never really liked sports games until I started playing the 2k series games now I think I am really in love with sports games especially the 2k basketball games.

I like sports games to an extent. It wasn't too fun back then when games weren't not hat good but its fun now. Part of it because I play soccer and follow the Premier league and that makes it more exciting to play the Fifa games because you can control your favorite players and make a team of the famous soccer players. Other sports games don't catch my attention but soccer games are the only ones that I really enjoy playing.

I don't play sports games anymore but I use to play Chaos in the Windy City and a couple of olympic games when I was fairly young. We also had another basketball game on genesis, I can't remember it too well but it had Michael and Larry Byrd and my friend would always force me to play Larry ._.

I used to play the Madden games but got tired of the sameness of them. Good games but they stopped being challenging for me.

I do play sport games. I think because I do not play sports in real life. I love playing football, soccer, baseball, golf, tennis and others. I am usually good at it. My nephew like to challenge me at football and I win a lot of the time which makes him mad.

Honestly I've never really understood how people are able to play sports game. Like I remember the old 2k8 and 2k12 basketball games were alright, but never really appealed too much to me. One sports game that I actually liked was Sports Champion for the PS3 (Wrong subforum I know). That game was pretty cool, because of the move controller. It was really my only use for the move controller actually. The swordfighting one gave me quite the workout at least, and I had fun doing it.

I dig sports games more like Blitz or Mutant League, but I'll play the Franchise mode of a sports game mainly because I like management sims.

I love sports games. I have always found them to be the most competitive in my opinion. My friends and I play a lot of madden and it is so fun just trying to be each other. There is a lot of bad mouthing and trash talk going but it is all part of the fun.

I like the Tony Hawk games for PS2 and that's about it. NHL is fun with friends, but I can't really get into most sport games when playing solo.

I used to play a few sports games such as tennis and boxing, but personally they got boring quite quickly and I found myself needing more action, thus turning to first-person-shooters.
