As most of you are aware, Steam is developing their own little controller primarily designed for the purposes of being able to play mouse and keyboard games on a couch. For those of you who haven't seen it, it looks like a controller with speakers on it. The "speakers" are trackpads that give you tactile feedback on your fingers.
Now, to me, it looks like a pretty cool concept and I think it will be appealing to console gamers as well as PC gamers who hook their computers up to a TV, but do you think it will have widespread success based on what you've seen?
I think it's a cool concept, and it's definitely revolutionary. But I'm having a few doubts. Not because I don't think it will work well, but just because it's so damned ugly. I think the lack of visual appeal is going to really cut the popularity of the device as pathetic as it sounds.
