If sony detects you jailbreaking your PS4 they will brick your console.

I didn't know jail breaking a console is possible?
Well I guess anything is possible but what's the point of jailbreaking your console?

To run software not normally possible like emulators for eg and I guess for the reason most would do it is to run pirated software.
While jailbreaking any console itself may or may not be legal depending on your country using it to play pirated software would be and no doubt Sony would make your console unplayable..online at least.
Touchy subject and Im not sure we should allow even just discussions about it on this forum anyway.
Exactly. Still stand by my original question, lol. So much easier to run emulators on a PC than jailbreaking a console and risk getting it bricked or worse, fudging up the software. Most people do it so they can pirate games, and jailbreaking the software violates the terms of the license agreement with Sony. So yeah, I agree with you, don't think this topic should even be up for discussion. There's plenty of other PS communities that exist for this type of thing, and we aren't that.
