General Thoughts On PS4 Experience

I'm not enjoying it as much as my PS3 right now, simply because of the game lineup. It's a great console, but the lineup right now just isn't the best at all.

While I have liked messing around with the PS4, I'm enjoying my PS3 more since I have more stuff I'd want to play there.

The PS3 is really kind of a safety net for having stuff to play while waiting for more titles to roll in.

I don't have my PS4 yet, which is kind of what drove me to this thread...is there anyone out there who truly believes that the PS4 experience is far superior to the PS3 experience in terms of overall gaming? Does it give you anything that is truly better or that you simply can't do without now that you've experienced it? I've seen a couple folks say that they still play both and I have a PS3, so I am wondering if I am really missing out on anything by waiting to get the PS4.

I like my PS4, but I haven't played it much at all really. I'm focusing more on my PS3 since there's stuff there for me to enjoy.

I really like my PS4. I've mainly been playing AC4 and Resogun. Everything has been very responsive and stuff. Plus I'm getting into Twitch so much that I've started watching the rest on PC and laptop.

That seems to be the general consensus, everyone who has a PS4, is still playing their PS3 due to a lack of games available on the PS4 for right now. This, of course will change as new games roll out but I think that many people like the PS4, but are still playing the PS3 for the majorty of the time until more games are available.

I think the PS4 is by far the best gaming console on the market right now, and the games that will be available for it are going to be cutting edge... I also think its greatest competition will be the Steam Machine.

Exactly. Some people have gone full on with PS4, but those are generally ones who feel there are no games or they're done (because true be told everyone isn't going to be into the 20+ games available).

I believe there will be at least one game for everyone, but you generally want a good amount to hold you over if you're going to go strict PS4.

Approachable UI. Everything seems slick and built to aid your fun without going over the top. Im loving mp Killzone. I payed 3 pounds for 3months Music unlimited which is a steal. Looking fotward to more free fun aswell : There is a zombie game I think its called Outlast out in Feb. Good times

I believe there will be at least one game for everyone, but you generally want a good amount to hold you over if you're going to go strict PS4.

"Strict PS4" sounds like dumping PS1, PS2, and PS3 for dietary reasons.

PS4 has all kinds of essential vitamins. PS3 is too fatty for my liking.

I am really enjoying the overall features of the PS4, but the gaming lineup isn't good. I am still waiting for good games to come out. I've been trying to hook up my PS4 into my twitch so I can stream some games.

So far I think it's a great system but does have its problems as expected. Mostly small ones that don't really affect most people like the fact that when i'm on the friends icon and it says they are playing a certain game but when i click on it they are playing a different one not a big deal at all but it really bugs me.

I think the PS4 was hindered by a lack of available games, but that can be said about all three current consoles. I think the saving grace has been PS Plus

Im really love my ps4. Its still very early in its life. Not many games or funtions. I have my ps3 hooked up on the opposite side of my tv than the ps4. Im still very invested in my ps3. With ps plus i have so many games i havent played yet. Ps4 is so much faster. When the good games start coming out im going to be a happy gamer until then the ps3 gets most of my attention. I just wish i could use the ds4 on the ps3. By far m favorite controller of all time!

You can. But only with a USB cord connected and Im not sure all games work.
Ive used it for Ghosts on PS3 for eg,ofcourse start button is option button and instead of select you press the touch pad.
Also since the aim and shoot buttons by default are L1 and R1 on PS3 they will be the same on DS4 when connected to PS3,but if you prefer them with L2 and R2 as they on DS4 with PS4 version of Ghosts you can just go into game controller settings and change them and bingo,aim/fire are L2 and R2.

You need to test it with each game and see how/if it fuctions.

So far I like PS4, but not much the games.

Soon after MGS, Infamous, The Order thats gonna change.

Also I sold my PS3 to get a PS4, so no going back for me :/
